I like your "call name".... Philosopher's Tone. I bet you saw the Frank Marino promo of that name-sake pedal. It's actually a very good look at Frank Marino at home. And how he incorporates those petals in his sound. Frank Marino, Robin Trower, Alex Lifeson, Greg Lake, Angus Young to name a very very few great guitar player! These were my idols growing up. And yes, I'm very much into scale model building. mostly 1/25 scale muscle cars! So, It's Classic Rock, '60's music, while I build these automotive wonders! It's the Coolest hobby.... Rock on and Merry Christmas; Philosopher's Tone!

Great work and nice inspiration. Sure wish AMT would return some of their $$ into tooling upgrades for us. Like modify their 70 Monte Carlo frame/drivetrain/engine bay from their 90's kit into this one. Also I see the decal stripes are still too short. Maybe i'm picky, tough to overlook such things with a 1/1 scale in garage...

I don't build my cars like you do but I'm really considering doing it that way. I'm kind of burned out with trying to do super detailed models. I've considered building like you do by building up as much as possible before painting. However I'm sure I'll here from my friends that I'm doing it wrong. After 40+ years of building detailed kits I now just want to build each kit without a lot of pressure on me

I have the jack reacher kit version but had fitting problems with the front bumper and head lights lining up . I used a lot of expensive paints and it doesn't fit properly. I would strongly recommend if you want to build a better 70 chevelle you go on ebay and find one made by revell or monogram. Even scale auto did a comparison of the manufacturers and found the revell monogram kit to be more scale accurate. And if you feel like doing a little kit bashing try swapping the engines from other revell kits like the 383 350 from the 69 nova or the 302 from the 69 camaro. All in all you did awesome job with your build but mine came out terrible.. the revell kit I just got went together perfectly and the head lights are individual pieces. I regret buying this kit but the tires all really nice

You just gave me a great new hobby to relieve stress. Plus 70 Chevelle is my dream car.! Do you think by making models cars can help/inspire someone to build actual vehicles if you wanted to? As a kid and time down the road I seen where parts would fall off. Like they didn't bond well. Also. Do you do any building of multiple kits added to make one . Keeping the scale as close as possible. Thank you . Love the channel. My self I have a good size of a collection. Saving for retirement. Have you ever seen the kit of don the snake perdonme. It's double kit with his funny car and top fuel car. If not I may be able to pics of it. I haven't built it yet. The chassis looks a little involved. Sorry for the poor spelling. I'm. Dave. No Bare metal foil? And you like the restolium pant over the testors or tamia? Great work, BTW. Can you give some tips on when to use white, grey, or black primer?
@hpiguy6 жыл бұрын
Never used foil, just don't have access to any. I like all those paints use most of them at one time or another. Spray cans just work nice and fast to me and I have a huge assortment of colors. For light paint jobs I use white primer. Dark I'll use grey or black, whatever is here. If you want to darken a light color just a bit, use a dark primer under it. Same if you want to lighten a color a bit, use a white primer.

Hello! I just pour warm water into a wash basin and dump some simple green in, doesn't take much. Cup maybe. Scrub the parts and rinse it off. To remove chrome I soak it in Super Clean for a few hours. To dull chrome I just shoot it with a matte clear.
