Instant karma car story - 1969 Boss 302, BRAND NEW, bought by our boss - MISTER jerk. He drove it to work right from the dealership. Then drove FOUR more of us (tight fit- 302 means "THREE not TWO MORE"). After work his car wouldn't start. He's an airplane mechanic who knows it all. So he takes off the plug wires, the cap and all the plugs. (yea, it had used up that 2 gallons of gas the dealer had miserly put in). One tow truck and five days later, with a healthy repair bill to boot, he got his car back - running. His was medium metallic green. Another diorama. You are THE most inspirational model builder on the internet. Thank you for sharing...

I took advantage of my sign making items, scanned that hood template, and cut the hood black out of flat black vinyl, making sure it's the right size. It actually came out really well and was easy to apply. Yours is gorgeous!

I always enjoy the kit reviews, Chris. I like your build description of all types of models from automotive, aircraft, ships and military. I build mainly automotive subjects these days. I understand your desire to replicate vinyl upholstery by using floor polish. For me, the end result is sometimes too glossy. I prefer to cover Testors or Tamiya flat black lacquer with Testors semi-gloss aerosol spray. I am impressed with your successful use of inexpensive spray paints. My favorite moment is when you do the big reveal and display the finished model. You do the model kit justice with a very clean build. Your video presentation gives your viewers enough information to make informed purchase decision. I believe your excellent videos will help to inspire younger modelers and keep our fun hobby alive. I salute the way you share the plastic modeling hobby.

Well said Stephen Miller.I would rather see kids building and creating "Happy little accidents" than playing video games or having their faces buried in their phones and vr headsets any day!.One of the reasons the hobby is so expensive these days is because not enough people are buying plastic model kits because of the OPEC monopoly and the Eurasian plastic model kit monopoly. If Revell America,Mobius Models, and Round 2 Models builds and opens more plastic model kit factories in America,we will have more domestic purchasing power than we currently have right now.The solution is simple:put tarrifs on the Eurasian plastic model kit monopoly, and tarrifs on the OPEC countries, drill for the oil we have in America, bring back the American plastic model kit manufacturers, and we will see the MSRP for American manufactured plastic model kits in America drop to levels not seen in decades.

I've been using this video as a point of reference for my build of the earlier issue Mach 1 Cobra Jet Kit from the '90s (since it's basically the same kit). I am bashing in some parts from the 302 kit, including the front clip since it's better modeled in this kit than it was in the original Cobra kit. Also using the decals, Magnum 500 wheels and the rear window louvers from this kit since I like them so much. When it's done it's going to be a full detail build up of my favorite Mustang, built exactly to my spec. I've watched this video multiple times to advise my own build, and it's really been a huge help!

Great model build. Great model. I will be building this in honor of a friend who passed away, Tom Martin, who had one in high school. RCH45ACP mentioned matte black vs black. Back then, the decals were applied after the car left the paint booth. So, a clear coat (did they even clear coat back then?) would not be over decals. My friend's Boss 302 'stang had the hood/louvres/stripe detail matte while all of the other paint was always shiny. Love your wheels, and the attention to undercarriage shows your love of modelling!!!! Great job.

The two tone stripe on hood does look sweet. The decal stripes on outer edge appear to be flat black while painted stripe in center appears to be semi or gloss black. I do plenty of models myself, if you get any Revell classic Mustang kit, they're all mostly the same major tool for most parts, they all have the same front suspension, shock/spring on inner fender set up, engine bay braces, and frame.

Just got this kit. Massively overpriced here in Poland, but I just had to get it to go along with my '70 Boss 429. Now I'm trying to decide on color and I have to say I'm tempted with that bright yellow from the box art. Deffinitely not red since my other Mustang is red. Is the air filter really done with just Molotow chrome pen? Amazing effect, I've used Tamiya pen before but the results were less than stellar. I guess I need to get me some Molotow for the trim here.
