Thank you, it was an alright build, and happy I was done with it. Gluing the fenders and the grilled were the hardest to get everything square for the hood.

Thank you for the kind words! I enjoy building novas, especially the Revell 69 body. This build had its ups and downs with fitment. It was ‘fun’ to glue the fenders onto the body while trying to make sure the grille and hood fit right before the glue cured.

Thanks, Neamon. It was a fun build at the end. This kit definitely has fitment issues and I’m not a fan of the fenders having to be glued on. Maybe if I ever build another one of these I will do magnets for the fenders instead of just gluing them.

Thank you for the comment! I appreciate it. I didn’t use the shackles that came in the kit. Just glue the front and the rear of the leaf springs directly to the chassis which removed that hideous ride height in the rear.

Thanks for the Sub and the comment. No, the wheels and tires were from my parts bin. I am not sure which kit they came from. I bought a collection last year and a whole bunch of tires and wheels were bagged up and this is a set I used.

@@MileHighScaleModeler It seems like I have fitment issues with anything other than Revell kits. I’ve not gotten into any of the Japanese kits in at least 20 years, so I don’t know how they are right now.

Thank you, Shawn! I appreciate the view on this build! It was a rough start with this kit. A lot of fitment issues and the plastic felt toyish and dense compared to other plastic used in kits. I wonder if the kit being molded in black could have caused the issues I had with the plastic itself. Getting the fenders glued on, to the point where the grille and the hood would fit perfectly before the CA glue tacked up. I have another one of these but it’s the older release in the purple box art. Hope it’s a little better fitment. This kit made me want to build the Revell 69 nova.

They came from my parts box. I cannot remember the kit but it was a recent AMT reissue…maybe one of the 70 Camaro kits. Honestly cannot remember off the top of my head.

If I put the amt nova next to the revell nova would there be a noticeable size difference?

Both are 1/25 scale. I just looked at the revel 69 body vs the 72 and there isn’t much size difference, if any..

This is the Nova SS kit that was readily available at hobby lobby. This is the kit that has the two fenders that come separate on the trees from the body.
