AMT/ERTL Deep Space Nine 1/450 Scale U.S.S. Defiant Buildup PT 6
In this segment of the Defiant build series I now have the paint touch up finished and the decals have been applied.
I used more of the Testors Decal Bonder to help the decals lay down nice and flat.
After allowing some dry time, I sprayed the whole model with Testors Dull Coat to even out the finish and seal the decals.
Finished by applying some Krystal Klear in all the window ports.
I used the large size Polar Lights plastic base for the stand and wired in a single switch to operate the lighting system. I am running the lights with a 9 volt power supply.
The LED strips were from Modelersbrand hobby supply and worked out perfect for the model.
All that is left is some weather effects on the paint job. I'll do a combination of a wash and some airbrushing to add that worn look.
