Very nice work, an absolutely gorgeous truck! The only problem I found with the amt scouts are the front ends. I noticed that the grill surround at the top need to be sanded out flat. And the lip at the front underside of the hood needed to sanded out and the hood flattened out to look right. I don't know why Amt did it, but they made the hood too round at the front. It's an easy fix, and the results will greatly improve the look of the model.

Did International paint those motors red like that? Showing my ignorance here, but I had thought since International was using AMC engines that the blocks would have been painted blue like AMC used in it's own cars. Great looking kit!

do you ever use putty's to fill in panel gaps or to modify the cars body and if so what do you recommend?
@hpiguy6 жыл бұрын
If there is ever a gap that bugs me, I usually fill it with Squadron putty, because I have two tubes of it. Most putties are just fine so buy what's available to you. Lots of folks use automotive filler putty from the auto stores. Works great from what I've seen.
@mikewazowski8656 жыл бұрын
hpiguys Workshop do you have a video that shows how to create a rust effect
@chassegallerie29106 жыл бұрын
I like how it turned out. I hope they re-release the stock version of the Scout II soon. You said you didn't use paint for the front lights, but I didn't understood what it was. Was it your paint pen? Also, were some of the part on the bent tree warped? Finally, I just love your attitude. Keep it up! ^^
@hpiguy6 жыл бұрын
For the lights I used a silver pencil. For the buttons on the bed I used a silver paint pen. The trees themselves were warped but the parts on them were straight. Thanks for watching!

I don't think I have seen a true ss model or a chrome grille truck and the engine option is usually orange for the early 70's from the mid 60's but til the end its ih Farmall red
@richardbates2367 Жыл бұрын
I guess it had to do like gm and the early sbc is red orange and the true Chevy orange people paint every sbc years regardless is a bright orange there's almost no red tint to it and I had two low mileage L6 250 engines a 68, and a 74 and they plainly showed the difference in pigment especially after I cleaned up and my uncle repainted the 68 250 L6 since it was his truck when I helped him put it together a 79 Chevy c20 Scottsdale
