AMTK 131 leads a resilient Sunset Limited #2 eastward on Main 2 of UP's Glidden Subdivision in Sugar Land, TX, about 25 miles southwest of Houston.
I say 'resilient' because the train ran into a few issues over the course of the day. Coming into San Antonio, the lead locomotive lost power so a UP unit was added to help the train eastward. During the train's eastward trip from San Antonio, the UP unit then crapped out, so it had to be set out and the second Amtrak locomotive had to be set up to provide HEP and pull the train.
The train finally got underway again, but lost about 5 hours through the ordeal and finally arrived at New Orleans about 6 hours late.
