Amtrak 30 Meets CSS 11 in Michigan City, IN 12/5/15

I'm not sure why the Amtrak went through first, since the South Shore sat for about 5 minutes before the Amtrak showed up, but whatever the case, 352 crosses the diamonds, and then a couple minutes later, the South Shore departs heading for its station stop at 11th St.

Amtrak controls the interlocking so their trains take priority over South Shore. There were a couple times I was on a South Shore train and had to wait 15 minutes for Amtrak to cross.

About 6 years ago, I was on a westbound Amtrak that had to wait for a South Shore train.

You sure it was the wolverine? It might’ve been blue water. They’re the ones with double locomotives.
