Nice shots, Spencer! I think the best one you happened to get was Triple 7 with two F40PH NPCU's, two Comet coaches and 301 trailing at the back. Definitely a nice arrangement of colors for a modern day Amtrak train. I think somebody said they were attached to that train so tests can be done with crossings where trains run at 15 miles an hour, and track speed can be increased. Hopefully this will be part of additional journeys to/from Goleta and San Luis Obispo, but they could use some new coaches soon despite the current condition of their fleet not looking so good.

The 777 set at 7:05 likely had 6903 leading. I caught a similar consist at Anaheim on September 7th.
