One Last Amtrak Silver Star Turns Neve Wye in Tampa!

My last Amtrak P092 with a pair of chargers turns around at Neve Wye to back into Tampa. Today, Amtrak is running the final Silver Star train before switching the name to the Amtrak Floridian with an extension to Chicago. Gonna miss the Silver Star and hearing P091 and P092 call clear signals on the radio.

Nice catch. The Floridian supposedly is a temporary train, according to the Amtrak web site. P091 and P092 Silver Star may be back at some point.

@@loveangrybirdssomuch Yeah technically it is and there’s a sign but I’ve seen people go back there before. Even google maps drove down it.

So I guess that means the Silver Meteor will now become the only silver service on Amtrak
