It’s unbelievable that the needs of the people have been ignored for decades, and then migrants who come here illegally, they are concerned about, and putting millions of dollars towards housing and keeping them fed, providing shelters, when the people of this country are basically left to fend for themselves when they have a problem with housing and evictions and jobs that pay a living wage. I’ve seen problems of the city sewer system infrastructure problems ignored when I lived in Detroit. It almost makes me mad to see a woman in her 60s or 70s thanking the city for "giving them their park back" that lady shouldn't have to thank anyone or ask anyone to let her use the park she paid for. This is what happened in the 1960’s but when we got a few wins was able to move a little freer in some aspects in society then we got lacked and stopped fighting. The Democratic Party is showing their roots by bringing this man out front and center and given him a lashing before the entire United States for being truthful, and representing his people that he was elected to represent. Mrs. Truss is right we have to move in 2024 if we want to see some different things happen invite the independent candidates invite the Republican candidates. Listen to the policies you don’t have to like them. You don’t have to go home with them. It’s about what policies they are going to be put in place to benefit the black community as a collective all around the United States of America. It’s time for the black citizens of the United States to walk away from the Democratic Party unless the liars have something concrete in writing prior to voting for them to RAISE the quality of life for us. The right to vote was not the right to be aligned and be faithful to a party that no longer serves our community. We were given a right to vote and the opportunity to choose who we want to vote for. Let’s start being smart, like the other ethnicities that make up our country. Let’s educate ourselves and stop falling for identity, politics, propaganda, misinformation and disinformation that causes us to be misrepresented after every election. A lot of people are saying they got what they deserve NO! They were just voting as they normally have and have voted identity politics for decades. There are some who genuinely are called heeding the call and walking out their ministry they are not lukewarm. I am an African- American Chicagoan living in California. I'm so proud of the Black citizens of Chicago for standing up and standing against this great injustice. There IS a south side community group who has taken the same stance, and they were the FIRST to sue the City of Chicago and stop them from putting the "illegal immigrants" in their community. This west side group saw that and took a page from their book. Search for the coverage on KZbin. It's there! This west side community group has gotten more media coverage because mayor Brandon Johnson is from that community and the people have voiced their feelings of being betrayed by a man that they supported to become the mayor. Thanks to these pioneers, people in communities all over Chicago are now saying "NO" to the illegal immigrants being placed in their communities! Brighton Park is the latest that has gotten so much coverage. All of them are getting attorneys and suing the City of Chicago. My community is doing the same. We were one of the first to receive the illegal immigrants so we suffered greatly before our Alderwoman met with the mayor and police chief. Things are calm again, but still not back to normal. We are fighting to make sure that they leave when the two year contract is up! 🥊 No extended stay! 🚫
