I'd just like to clarify, despite the lack of public progress, the Spares Reanimatedd collab is coming along slowly but surely and is still planned to come out. More misinformation: Tord left because he was cyberbullied; not because of fan girls

Originally, Tord wanted to leave the show due to him not wanting too mooch off of Edd's animations and because he wanted to pursue his own artistic goals. Buuuuut, that didn't sink too well with the fandom and they all eventually ganged up on Tord and bullied him relentlessly. Even after he reluctantly left, fans were still after him and if my sources are correct one fan even managed to find out where he lived. After Edd's death, Tord posted a video on his channel explaining everything from why he left and the pressure he felt. But someone must've fucked up big time or the bullying and pursuing possibly continued, leading Tord to deleting the video and his channel. (edit: It's possible someone started bashing Tord for not taking the plane to visit Edd before he passed. Tord was gonna go but ofc there's hesitation with that decision when you don't wanna see your best friend dying and scared to show yourself to the public. Tord most likely regrets not seeing Edd one last time but past is past now). Few years later, Tord tried reaching out to Matt on Facebook but the fans sensed Tord's presence and this led him to deleting his Twitter and Facebook account. Conclusion: A lot of crazy fans have led this poor man to basically erase himself from the internet and go into a life of hiding from it. (Sorry for this textbook of Tord's history in Eddsworld and sorry if these points were already covered in the vid).

It wasn’t the fans at all; he just had a lot of haters. Some claimed to be jealous of him whilst others claimed they didn’t like his character on the show. He was told to kill himself, actually attempted suicide because of the harassment which he admits to on his archived SheezyArt page, he was sent death-threats and even shown discrimination on Newgrounds when a hater shamed him for posting a video in Norwegian.

I believe the entry about Matt wanting TBATF to be canon comes from Matt wanting the creators to make merch for Eddsworld, but he canceled the deal because the creators of the comic are. a bit problematic. This video was well put together and quite accurate! A few things I want to mention though: - Quest For Bacon was coded by both Ian AND Edd. The reason it's so glitchy is cause they were both not that skilled at the time. - Spares Reanimatedd is still happening as the Twitter is still retweeting scenes that are slowly being finished. - You never mentioned the EddsworlDVD was released at a convention, and we have photos and blog posts from Edd and fans to prove it. - You also skipped over Edd's involvement in SuperAverage and how he was originally meant to animate it before his passing. - Going from memory here, I don't think Tord ever mentioned fans harassing him in his video? I know Tom said it, but they stopped talking around 2006. - You didn't bring up the fact that Matt still actually has a prototype of Kid Thulu. - You didn't actually mention that Tom's dad would've been explained with the opening of WTFuture 2, only that it was in Edd's last sketchbook.

@@Sheikh_diane He was a top donator (probably) to the Eddworld Legacy Fundraiser hence, he got his own character added in The Legacy Season along side Paul (Who's been in the classic era a long time ago, usually appearing as a backround character) and in The End they're depicted together (not dating) at the end of the end part 2, so the fandom shipped them so much people were even asking them IRL to make out, so they had to end their friendship to try and stop the ship.

Hey! On the topic of The Beginning and the Friend, the reason it wasn't made canon (from what I remember) is drama between matt and the creators. An eddsworld themed youtuber named Xenovist made a video on the matter as it all went down in mid 2018-2019, explaining what was wrong, why the drama happened, and why matt decided to not make it canon. The video has now sadly been deleted as I can no longer find it, but based on my memory I believe the issue was that the creators of TBATF had been causing problems (one of which even called matt "that fucker" appearently, but I can't remember if that is true or not.) And considering from what I remember, matt was actually getting Merchandise ready for the fan comic! That was until the artists made her promiscuous drawing of Red Leader in a bath with a ton of other ladies. Along with tons of other complications, the canonization of this comic, the merch, and the whole deal together was called off, and thanks to some old friends I used to have when I was still active in the Eddsworld Amino Community, I learned their account on there had also been BANNED because of the drama they cause. DISCLAIMER! I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON THE SITUATION! please do not take anything i say as facts!

Wonderful iceberg, guys! Loved learning about Eddsworld history and lore, even Ed’s own history. I found some similarities between Hetalia and Eddsworld fandom. It has nice things and people can learn to respect eachother, BUT there will be always toxic people. Hey there! I wanted to address some information you forgot to mention about TBATF. They have been in a lot of drama for doing some messed up stuff. They have told a 13 year old to commit suicide and they have made very inappropriate jokes about sexualizing women etc. They have also put Paul’s wife (Paul was an animator for Eddsworld) when he told them not to in the comic. They have also have called Matt some pretty bad names that I cannot repeat. They have done so many more things that are awful and that are not ok. I completely understand if you didn’t know or didn’t have time to put it in the video. I just wanted to say that because it’s some serious issues. But the video overall was amazing!

Notes: The Tom Monster also appeared in Crash Zoom Orcs and Dorks. It's obvious that they are connected with some research. It's confirmed this monster is Tom is because when everyone changes to normal, you can see his hand in the background. Meaning something with the transformation could connect. In Bang Boom Splat, the stats on the bottom and Edd's face was probably a reference to Doom.

17:49 Actually, the Legacy DVD project was not the same as the 2009 Eddsworld DVD. The 2009 DVD was sold at conventions, containing some of the videos they could legally sell at the time (The eddisodes Spares, Matt Sucks and Zanta Claws II all had uncopyrighted music). The Legacy DVD was supposed to be a compilation of All (or most) of the Eddisodes over the years with completely remastered music by Todd Bryanton, but due to many of the source files being lost and the small $2000 budget, Tom realized it couldn't have been made. Some of the older eddisodes were later rescored by Marc Lovallo, Todd, Weebl and others for free so they could be uploaded to the Eddsworld Extra channel.

19:51 from what I remember at the time of this event folding People said he wanted to and when he saw TBATF certain art piece of Tord in a bath with a bunch of chicks he turned down the idea and I think he said to delete that post too if I can remember There was a screenshot where one of the creators said he wasn't supposed to see that and insulting him too about it Again this incident was a long time ago when TBATF was in a lot of controversy so dont take my word for it

Same I only found out about eddsworld about a month ago and I just finished watching the first series (I have yet to watch the reboot) so I’m learning all this now (I decided I won’t check out any fan projects or anything to avoid spoilers) and it’s hitting me harder than anything I remember. I know how it feels, especially being a fan of BFDI knowing that BFDIA was so close to continuing and how BFDIA 5b, and Tidepool (Tidebool being a Flash game that Cary and Michael worked on) never got continued either despite being promised to. TFI (Totally Firey Island) is a comic that is pre-BFDI; the first BFDI thing and the whole thing hasn't been seen by the public eye ever never got found by the creators and is unfortunately lost to time (hopefully it will be found in te future), I am commenting this because of your profile picture, lol (I wasn't really the BIGGEST fan of BFDIA tbh, I am still super nostalgic for it and really like it, I am more happy that IDFB was made because of its cancellation and is probably coming back at some form, that BFB was made and that TPOT is still going) (This is not even includin the deleted scenes-- MY OCD, UUUGGHH!!) I think the reason Tom became the monster was because someone from another webtoon (I forgot the name) summoned the monster Tom becomes in one of the episodes, and when they defeat it, you can see Tom appear from behind a bush.

The comic was about ed edd and eddy bursts in edd's house and they said that they were edd's brother and at the end of the comic the edd in eddworlds said I'm happy that the comics aren't cannon. 27:35, Just did some research, It didn't become lost media because of flash ending support, It was uploaded to the Blog section of the eddsworld website (eddsworld.co.uk) on 1/11/2009, but everything in the blog prior to 9/19/2010 was wiped due to malware (according to the wiki). And just to be sure, I even found an archive of the blog from early 2011 which includes a post by Edd himself indeed confirming that on 9/19/2010, the blog was indeed wiped due to "Malware and such". On top of that, the podcast was hosted on "Imeem.com", which went defunct On December 8, 2009 when it was was bought out by MySpace.com. At this point, the only chances of the podcast being found are if someone downloaded it, which is possible since it was possible to download content from imeem as seen in the clip: ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3i0nJV-ga-qeqc ).
