Comcisans, don't worry too terribly much about being without a relationship, especially if you are still a high schooler. I know it may seem like an important thing, but sometimes it is better to just sit back and wait for your life beyond high school to make some progress before taking that step, just maintain your friendships and branch out as well...and gradually you'll find that there may be someone in your circle who is mutually interested later in life with making the next step. Take care. This is a great topic to be discussing, I know when I was in high school and my one semester of college I was always interested in trying to find a girlfriend and part of that helped me find a poor choice of one...and eventually that relationship outbalanced my education but I have a great fiancee and for the most part am content with my current situation job wise, now.

This is an issue that afflicts a lot of people. Particularly if they know others around them are in a "Relationship" while they themselves feel outcast, or unwanted, for not being able to claim the same. What many don't realize is how strong friendships are often what naturally become a relationship. Some friendships are solely based on shared interests, mutual friends, and other situational, or material, needs. However, those friendships that build upon a "Give and Take" along with fostering open communication and implicit trust can elevate to that of a relationship without ever becoming aware it is a relationship until it either gets pointed out by someone else, or you get that feeling inside that this person is far more to you than a friend. Advice I give others on this topic, and with others, is how "It doesn't matter how old you are when it happens. What matters is that it does happen." Having faith in that often is enough to push through any obstacle that may seem to be bringing you a rainy day.

Comicsans, you are not alone, I know how you feel, I'm a 22 year old young woman who still hasn't had anyone come even close to asking me out... ever. I had a crush once, heck, I've been in love, but it was not to be, as he married another, and to be honest, I'm okay with that now... we hadn't seen eachother in 7+ years, he was my best friend and when he went on his mission trip, I had asked God to show him his future bride... which he did. He fell in love with the missionaries daughter and she with him. Heh, the funny thing is, RIGHT as u was going to tell him my true feelings, the very SECOND even, he told me he was engaged. I tried to be just friends, but the more I spoke with him, the more I fell for him... it hurt too much, I ended up having to end the friendship... they married that summer. However, as of current, I'm going to school full time for Graphic Design, trying to work at it every day during summer break, and working between 20-40 hours myself, I'm doing my best at what I can do, all the while trying to be the best I can be. I hardly have time for myself, I can't really see how adding a guy to the mix right now would be a good idea, either he'd be a distraction from my school/work or vise-versa and I really don't want to hurt him like that... whoever he may be. I at least would like to wait until I graduate, but if God thinks I'm ready sooner, then I trust His judgment, He's not let me down yet. :) Just be patient, you're Ms. Right will come, she's just not ready for you yet. ;)

Can't pretend to tell everyone what to think or do, but would say to follow like in my other posts, *that Love is more meaningful than 'Lovers.'* I am happy myself seeking Personal Supremacy and Truth, but know that such a devout way of living or thinking can seem less fulfilling for some. Such to say, that "Love" is more important than relationships, and a Friend better in life to have and count on than having one night stands. Know what it is you genuinely seek out of life, if you ever wish to be sure at having it, and be sure it's what you want else if you ever do obtain it. *(there are plenty of Dating services out there if that is all you want, lol) But yeah, whatever you in time and turn seek out of life, good luck man and don't be too quick falling for tricks nor treats alike. ^_

I got kinda lucky. My first and current boyfriend is a brony. We got together after we found out of each other's love for the show. We even got to watch the premier of season 5 together. He was and still is one of my best friends. We are the weirdest people we know and we will always have each other's back. Having someone be there for you wether it be a friend a family member or a significant other is amazing feeling and I wish that every one gets to feel it at some point in their life

I have the same issue. When I have a crush, 70% of the time I'm going to find a reason to not bother and move on without even talk to the girl sometimes. But I'm confused with what you said about giving. Do you mean that by giving time to others and friends, showing them that you're here if they need you, it will help solve the issue ? I get the part becoming less depressed and lonely, making the world a better place, showing others that they matter and becoming a giving person but I'm not sure I understand the link with love issues. That's what I like within your videos: lots of advices but we need to interpret them :)

Dr. wolf, in your video when you mention how it may be hard for almost anyone to say, put aside what you desire for the sake of others, and when I heard that, it made me realize that's exactly what I do. I make sure everyone I know is on the same page, has the same idea and I give respect for others even though they almost never return it. And yet, I go on doing it anyway, Is it because I want to help others in anyway I can? Or because it's what I feel like to be the right thing to do?

I know all those feelings. Only problem is when I finally got someone I asked to date me they cheated on me and I haven't had the courage to ask anyone or try again. I'm 26 and have only dated one person which did not end well. So I feel you, though I am still lonely I think what was said in this video was good. I don't think I will try again just yet but I might be getting to the point that I can. Thank you both for this.

Im trying to get behind what the point of this video is, and im not trying to be an insensitive person here, but crushes and relationships are somewhat more complicated based on the 1 or 2 individuals involved and their state of mind and being. Crushes are really easy to get, and whole its happened to all of us at some point in our lives, something like what ComicSans is going through kinda needs a bit more......"personal" indepth. Feelings are very detailed emotions and inner attachments towards something or someone, and having alot of crushes over a long period of time shows a lack of established emotional control and an organized mindset. I can see where he's coming from, and I've been through the same situations like him, but at some point in your life, you gotta sit down, make a list of what you want from a significant other and what you want out of a mutualand caring relationship, and you go out there and get it, trying not to dumb down any of your good qualities. Also, just be yourself and immensely patient, and the right person will show up to you......and it will be worth it.

I know its in bad form to bash on doctors of the mind, but the ones I have seen, don't really care. Its like, what really bothers you is not what bothers you. Here take this medicine give it until we say it is working to know it is working. Oh? The medicine makes things worse for you? Must be your fault. Sorry, but that has been my literal experience.

DRWolf001 -Shrug- I thinks its more that if real professional doctors, hear a lot of the real things that happen in a persons life, they in turn may become, erm... good term to use so as not to offend? well they then become a victim of pain and suffering theirselves. I mean, despite supposed intelligence, Humans are still humans, those who are not already, broken, or deal with things no one should, can still become broken despite our collective knowledge of the human brain which is still practically nothing. I feel it is more of a defensive way for a doctor to displace theirselves just enough so they don't wind up speaking to a doctor in turn. Those of us who really do truly have to struggle are not capable of receiving proper help, we are dealt with in the easiest way you would as like a headache, throw something down to ease the nuisance, or try to find someway to push it to the side and ignore it, in which we end up in a hospital where we can 'get a proper evaluation'. Its quite annoying, and then trying to find coverage, and such to pay for constant and continual trips to doctors or hospitals is almost nothing, trust me, my recent endeavors to get insurance, the government failed me. I was given a statement that said, quote, "We apologize as you cannot be covered right now, if you would reapply if you have proof of a child under the age of ... or are pregnant...". Yea, and people tell me there is nothing wrong and all is hunky dory. Worst of all, it leads to a life of loneliness, as if you try and tell someone you think is a friend when they say they can be there for you, they then stop you and say, "Hey, there are people with a worse life than you, stop feeling like you're the only one who suffers", or, They just look at me like I am insane and I can see the question in their eyes, "How are you not a serial killer?" -Shudders- I know, this a dark and grim for speaking, just needed to get a little bit off my chest, and work out some thoughts on things. I know the world is far from perfect, the world itself is still changing and altering, the human species, more so. I just have an annoying sense of things can be better, but what do I know. Heck, its not even why mlp appeals to me. I enjoy for its simplistic nature that reminds me of what little bit of a childhood I had, which was mostly steeped in fantasy stories, and super hero cartoons. Action, and learning something important that parents should be teaching, or as I prefer to see it, The parent generation passing on as much of their knowledge and wisdom as possible, while the child generation takes it, learns and grows, and passes on their own additional information. Well, I'm rambling now, sorry.

Ironheart Watermane Your experience with psychologists is to be expected; many doctors are corrupt by the paramedical companies. It's old news yet still continues. vid They get paid under the table to sell their product. Not all, obviously, but you always have to double check what they do/want so you know you're not getting scammed. They're even like this with surgeries. First question to ask, *What do you wish to seek in life?* and with it *How far are you willing to go or to take things?* At the end of all things though to remember however that We are ourselves all we Really have in life and our own strengths the only thing we can truly rely on or build upon. It is good to in turn with this Truth to remember to point there of being also how we fit into things and the world around us, such that the point of purpose to being Personally strong is not simply for personal gain, but such in turn that we Can make a differences in shaping that world around us to the benefit of others & ourselves. Yet always to remember in turn though that the only one truly that we can count on to be there and that we can build on from, Is Ourselves and that if we cannot grow to depend upon ourself in life, then how can we in due honesty expect Others to be able to either the same? /) - Decide what matters to you in life and how far you are willing to go, and that one WORTH having any sort of relations with is someone that accepts You for YOU and does not seek to try and change you into something that you are not. *Tis better to be a happy & genuine even if alone, then genuinely unhappy with someone you do not agree with and that is not good for you or each other's needs.*

I disagree. Improving his ambitions wont get people to feel romantically/sexually attracted to him. And admirance nor better conversation topics are romantic/sexual attraction. Showing interest also won't trigger someone else to feel sexually/romantically unless they themselves are already interested/confirming the reciprocation. Those things could trigger it for some people, but it's typically just an incentive, not what causes it in the first place. You can't control romantic/sexual attraction in the same way any other orientation can. Nor the frequency or infrequency of it either. People can be picky, but they can also have types they're interested in/that trigger their romantic or sexual attraction. If they don't have it for you then they don't have it. People act as if its easy to feel, but that depends on the person. Also, asking someone out isn't motivated by a "maybe those feelings could develop", but because the person has romantic/sexual attraction prior. (Unless they feel attraction easily/just by acting so, in which case they'd be far more willing to date someone without prior romantic interest.) I can say that doubt and neediness is a turn off for most people/may be what's preventing them from developing feelings for you in the first place. Believe in yourself but don't be overconfident. Past a good bodily image/a good to decent body in general, there's really nothing else you can do about it. Also, demiromantic/demisexual may be a helpful title/orientation for you.
