Compared to the the tiger 2. Amx has worse hull armor. But the amx's turret armor is comparable to the t34 needing 275-280ish pen to go through it. The amx's gun is comparable to the tiger 2 using calibrated shells. The dispersion is slightly better but the on movement dispersion is way worse. Amx's mobility outclasses the tiger 2 in top speed, traverse and power to weight ratio. And since it weighs 70 tons, It can ram better than the raumpanzer

I got it for my alt account, the gun is better than T54E2, however the armour is a lot worse, hull is big and can be premmo'd easily if you show it. The tank isn't as versatile as T54E2 due to that hull size, doesn't allow you to take "russian ridges".

To all players out there I recommend buying the Chimera, E75 TS, this tank in the video, Skorpion G and M4A1 Revarolisé (for pro players) or ALL of them if you have enough gold The Kpz 70t is meh, it depends on teammates very much, but it's still a decent tank There are a lot of tanks perform better than the 121B The T-2020 I see it just a reskin of the ST-I but lower tier with pike nose Edit: if you are a collector you can also buy the STG. But if you are a player who need a tank to have fun and grind credit, PLZ TRY TO STAY AWAY FROM IT The depression is horrendous, you can't do anything on a ridge line, the armor can be easily penned, the dpm is terrible for a medium (well 122mm of course) so if u 1v1 with nearly almost mediums, u are dead. The only things you can do with this tank are sidescrap (hell I don't even know if it's gonna work or not) and circle HT and TD then kill them, but with 12s of reload good luck doing that before the enemy shows up And one last thing IT'S UGLY AS HELL

I know! Got this and Chimera yesterday. The 49 is my favourite of the two. Just phenomenal. Unpopular opinion, I like m4 more than Chim and 54e2. Just works for my style better.

Great tank but I think the E75 TS edges it out. It’s very similar but can also side scrape.

I think this tank is overrated for a few reasons: 1. The tank's armor is worse than the Tiger 2, and the gun is identical (this is compensated for in mobility, but not enough to be worth it) 2. 105 mm tanks have a lot of competition, and the AMX M4 49 doesn't compete well with most of the other 105 mm (T54E2 for one mention, but also tanks like the Tiger 2) 3. It tries to be a medium tank, but fails in a few regards (for one, the chimera does the job this tank typically fills better in many aspects, such as alpha, and mobility) All-in-all, the tank is good (for 5K 100% worth it) and I'm sick I didn't buy it, (I'm out of gold) but I think it's overhyped in many regards, and if it comes for (let's say 7K) it isn't worth it at all.
