Why do you like a man that treats people like crap, lies, manipulates, and uses his past abuse by another person more than a guy that actually tries to help people, cares about them, and even accepts them despite how bad they are. I admit his infatuation with Amy was horrible, but everytime the writers would end it, you RAMY FANS would get mad and claim "You Know he's not over Amy". He would CONSTANTLY accuse her of being interested in Ricky, would get mad if she talked to her friends about stuff without him, and would harass her through phone/email/etc if she didn't answer him. If he developed a six pack, and muscles and started showing them to girls in the hall, would you say anything if Amy said anything about that? You are making what he did bigger than it was, considering she moved into his family business, used him to get money from his family, and kept the fact she was pregnant from him all so his family could provide a life for her, her son, and Ricky. She walked away clean with what she did, he got nothing from her in their entire relationship, but embarrassed and 4 years of misery for knowing her.

I work with seven people who are like Ricky, one actually killed his father. They hated Ricky's guts. They said how he treated the people around him was atrocious. Ben took responsibility for EVERYTHING HE DID & THEN SOME. Did Ricky even admit to Amy he cheated on her twice, and had sex or you don't remember Karlee, and Haylee. Ben told Amy about Maria, they were on a break. He also told her in S2E7 it was her decision if they get back together. He didn't divorce Adrian she divorced him. Ricky didn't work anything off to get a whatever GPA he cheated Joe Hampton and girls he slept with got that GPA or do you not remember S1 Ep. 4 Dr. Fields session. When did Ricky take blame for what he did to Amy. Do you not remember how he wanted her to sleep with Ben and pretend the baby was his. How long did he wait to tell the truth about that marriage to Amy to anyone after all those gifts. Didn't Ben graduate on time with the option to leave early. Didn't he get accepted to Hudson and other colleges, before Amy with a call to the school this came after he suffered the loss of his child. Did Ricky say thank you to Ben for how he was there for Amy. Did Ricky help anyone on this show who helped him at all You talk about Ricky like he was some hero. But you never answered the question above. Would you think that if Ricky had given Amy HIV and that was a large possibility Ricky didn't get tested, and he didn't always use safety. Adrian was a slut but Ricky was worse. She at least practiced safety and got tested. I wonder would you praise him if Amy in 9 months got AIDS instead of giving birth. Would you feel that way about Ben if he stayed by her. If Ricky did as he did in the show and denied it. Oh and if Ricky is so great Ashley wouldn't be living in Italy. He didn't start using women, manipulating them into sex, or using his wealth to do it. He never lied to any of them saying I love you for sex. Can you say the same about Ricky. He faced all of his problems like a man. Unlike Ricky who ran to his therapist or cried like a bitch because of shit that happened to him 9 years before. What happened to Ben was recent and he still kept going, he had no time to deal. Can you can say the same for Ricky.

I have friends who were completely like Ricky. Exactly like Ricky. I have a sibling who was raped like Ricky. And yes he used sex as an escape. As some way of to control. He used people to make himself feel better, yea, but tell me honestly that you've never once said anything wrong about another person to make yourself feel better. He walked in on Ricky being with Amy because he spent the night trying to help Amy with John. Ben took it the wrong way and went off. He came back and made up with Amy and then went off ot Italy. They were TOGETHER. In a relationship. And yet, Ben cheated the first time there. And Ben only told Amy about Maria because she came to America. Otherwise was he going to? No.

Ben wanted the divorce/annulment long before Adrian did. He tried everything to get out of that relationship and yet Adrian tried to keep them together. He blamed everything on her and nothing on himself. He blamed Adrian for seducing him, yet he took none when he had to have consented. It wasn't Rape. Adrian didn't rape him. Adrian went through hell, trying to abort the baby and when she didn't, she didn't tell Ben because she didn't think he wanted the baby. For whatever reason, Ricky and Amy got pregnant. And your argument about Ricky giving AIDS, when he plans on having sex with women he ALWAYS uses protection. With Amy, he didn't plan on it. It just happened. So honestly, I don't think he could have gotten any disease. Adrian also had Daddy issues. And 85% of women who have Daddy issues are excessively slutty. But with Adrian it was also the feeling of loss of someone she truly loves. She wnated to find him again. Someone who she wholeheartedly truly loved. With Ricky, he was sexually abused as a child. According to "The Long-Term Effects of Childhood Sexual Abuse: Counseling Implications" by Melissa and Joshua Hall, "Depression has been found to be the most common long-term symptom among survivors." Do you not think that Ricky Underwood has the symptoms of Depression? Depression is a crazy and scary thing and yet you seem to think that because you know seven people who survived without what seems like not a scratch on them, it has to mean that others would survive the same? The same article has stated that, "Survivors of sexual abuse may experience difficulty in establishing interpersonal relationships. Symptoms correlated with childhood sexual abuse may hinder the development and growth of relationships. Common relationship difficulties that survivors may experience are difficulties with trust, fear of intimacy, fear of being different or weird, difficulty establishing interpersonal boundaries, passive behaviors, and getting involved in abusive relationships (Ratican, 1992). You forgot to talk about Ricky and how he handled the situation. He did get Amy pregnant because he didn't wear a condom. He also didn't even admit he was the father of the baby. He tried to use the baby's life to trick another girl into sleeping with him while he was sleeping with another girl and other's. He also tried to use his past abuse to trick her friend into sleeping with him. He also admitted he was going to get Ben's dad and everyone else on his side. He also sabotaged the adoption of the baby deliberately and still did nothing to try and make sure he could provide for the baby. He also went through the entire situation sleeping with other women, and enjoying his free time while he screwed everyone else over. If you rant on Amy/Ben rant on Ricky too, he did create this situation. Made it worse than it should have been.
