Brenda and the other writers already released what season 6 would've been like and confirmed/canonized Ramy was endgame. Ricky and John ran after Amy shortly after she left for New York, they repaired their relationship and got married two years later. Unfortunately, we just never got to see the true ending air.

This ending literally pisses me off so much. I feel so bad for Ricky. Amy was so cute and shy in the first few seasons, but she turned into such a BITCH. Just like her mother. xD She shouldn't have kept saying she wanted to be married when she didn't wanna be married. They'd been engaged for a while, and the show really draaagged itself out while we were waiting for Amy and Ricky to just get married already. Random, annoying stuff happened all throughout season 5, like they were stalling the wedding until the very end, and instead of getting a wedding we get this. An argument. A breakup. And Amy gets everything she wants, like always. I actually thought they would get married in the last episode, and we'd get a happy ending for everyone. I'm just so done with these writers. As a TV series ending, the dragged-out "Will they or won't they? Oh wait, they won't" was lame. But still, those two were SO not ready to get married! Her constant immature back-and-forth and his weirdly quick change of emotions and inability to separate romantic love from other types show that neither was ready at all. And John got to stay with the better parent. In sum, the ending was reasonable, even though it was bad TV.

I think they found out they were cancelled right as they were filming the last few episodes. So my guess is that this was just supposed to be a season finale and then with in the next few seasons they would've eventually gotten together. But because they were cancelled they had to make it the series finale instead. At least, that's what I'd like to think...

I still think Adrian and Ricky never get closure. Adrian and Ricky were deeply in love, but life happened and neither got a true understanding of who they were and their relationship. I get what Amy is trying to say, but it sucks for the RAMY shippers that they were tricked into loving in this couple to only end up like this. And yes I have always loved Adrian and Ricky together. Heck, Adrian was the first person Ricky told the truth about his harsh past. But still I think the audience deserved better. At least one more scene with a "one year later" time gap. Showing that Amy and Ricky either are close friends or a couple,Adrian and Ricky are now a couple, or Ben and Amy are close again. SOMETHING. Or maybe no one is with no one and they are just focusing on their careers, education, and baby. But I needed more.

I totally agree with you about Adrian and Ricky! I think they were in love, I mean after the way Ricky cried when she found out Adrian was pregnant showed how truly heartbroken he was and that he loved her. He also opened up to Adrian like you said, and ALWAYS went back to her. Ricky and Adrian however were both stubborn and didn't want to admit that they messed up, they had too much pride for that lol it's ashame really though because they did love each other. It does suck for RAMY shippers because Ricky and Amy were together for 3 seasons, personally I didn't care about their break up though I never felt that they were in love. I agree that would be a good ending with Amy and Ben together, and Ricky/Adrian. Brenda Hampton wanted ratings and ironically when Ramy became the main couple the rating dropped and the show got cancelled. Shailene and Daren never confirmed they loved each other. The ratings went up in season 3 and season 4 when Ricky and Amy were together but when down hill because they story lines were crap. Amy not having sex with Ben was realistic because she had such a bad experience with Ricky and got pregnant. But most of the fandom wanted her with Ricky so they made her have sex with him. Sex doesn't always mean love. You don't have to have sex in order to show you're in love. Anyways we don't what will happen in Amy's future but she decided not to marry Ricky and you can't deny the fact that Ricky and Amy only got together because of John. They only stayed together for so long because of John. I think the ending was good hardly any teen parents end up together. Having Ricky and Amy get married would be condoning teen pregnancy and that's not a good thing, the show shouldn't encourage teen pregnancy.

It's one thing that they broke up for a season or the rest of the series but the ending is still so open despite all of this. I didn't watch this show for 5 years for a shitty ending at least see where all the characters are at the end and wrap it up not leave it on a cliff hanger like another season is coming especially when u made it so clear that its the last season. Bottom line it doesn't have to be happy but make a more satisfying ending not probably the biggest cliff hanger in the whole show, and the difference with this one is that you will never find out the rest.

This ending was definitely realistic. This show was realistic. I believe that Amy and Ricky didn't change each other. Becoming parents changed them. Ricky grew to love Amy as a person, he wasn't in love with her. Amy was in love with Ricky and she always wanted him to be in love with her and not because she is the mother of his son. Amy knew deep down that he wasn't in love with her. She loved him enough to let him go.

I find this part a reality check. Ben did the exact same thing for her, and Ricky encouraged there break up on two occasions. The first was when Amy was pregnant, and the second when Adrian was pregnant. It is funny Ben used the same method to exploit Amy's real emotions that Ricky used by focusing on Amy's vanity. It makes me wonder does Ben really want to be with Amy, or did he want to stop them from making a mistake. Or did he break them up for revenge. You can never tell with Ben.

I hated this ending so much. It broke my heart so bad. Ricky of course he loved just look how mad he got and in the first season the face he has when he first sees john and then when Amy tries to give john to Ricky so he could carry him and Ricky says no after that just see his face. I'm never going to get over this ending I just try to pretend they ended up together and they live happily and that john now is in high school. I cry almost every time i think of this and keep watching the video when ricky sees for the fist time john. Ricky changed so much just for her and his son of course he loves them both with all his heart. I try to think they ended up together but sometimes I just feel that I could fill up a pool with tears. This whole scene was out of character. Like for one thing Ricky was very much in love with Amy. When he admitted it for the first time the way he said "I love you Amy" you could tell by his voice that he was in fact in love with her. The way he has been around her and acted around her you could tell he's never felt what he has with Amy with anyone else. With Adrian it was just sex, with Amy he had a real relationship with her. He never married her just for John, he wanted to marry her because he loved her. The person who wrote this scene obviously wasn't a fan of them or else this scene neber would have happened

I wasn't upset by this conclusion to the series because what Amy said was TRUE. Ricky wasn't IN love with her. (He said so himself to Ethan in a prior ep) He loves her but in the way that wouldn't validate a life long commitment, aka marriage. He loves her as the mother of his child & vice versa for her as well. She loves him as the father of her son. Another thing about Amy, I honestly feel she is in love with Ben. & if the series becomes a movie in the future, it would show she & Ben ended up being the ones to get married to one another.
