The moment she teamed up with the hardy boys, it was about time we all got to witness her abilities. There weren't many wrestlers like her back in the day, so she definitely paved the way for the current generation.

what do you mean? She had a great career in WWE. People just got mad because she cheated on Matt Hardy.
@GretchenV952 жыл бұрын
Not only did WWE treat her horribly towards the end especially, but they allowed people into her, Matt and Edge’s business. That shouldn’t have happened. 😬
@MiketheratguyMultimedia Жыл бұрын
As Matt himself said, it would be great if love was just a switch that could be turned off. Unfortunately it isn't, and sometimes we develop feelings for people that we shouldn't, without intending to. Friendships sometimes become something more, life-changing mistakes are made in quick moments of weakness. I'm not excusing what Lita did, but she at least took a lot of responsibility for it and was much more honest, and much earlier, than Edge was. While Lita was mocked and criticized as a filthy whore for what happened, Edge got away clean, enjoying his greatest success as a dirty bad boy. It really is a shame. All three have moved on, which is as it should be, and as I said, Lita is definitely accountable for doing a rotten thing. But I believe her when she says that it wasn't her intention to betray Matt or hurt anyone and that she felt awful for years after it happened. Edge, on the other hand, seemed pretty shameless about it and no one gave him anywhere near the hard time that they gave her.

I've listened to several commentaries from Lita and Matt about the Edge issue. What I get, from both parties, is that Lita was kind of swept up into unexpected feelings for Edge, and did make attempts to prevent them, whereas Edge was fairly aggressive about pursuing her. She's not free of blame but I believe that Edge deserved more of it.

Your right, they don't deserve to be judged upon what ended up being part of the wrestling storyline. It is upsetting to hear from them that they still get people speak to them about such on their Instagram. It's like well ok but she has explained and regretted as to what happened with all that and why even have reminders about it in todays world when they all have moved on, it's the so called fans that hasn't.

To be fair, amongst all the grief thrown at Lita during the love triangle, Paul Heyman did give Edge some shit, and brought it up (to the best of his limited scope) at ECW One Night Stand. Just for a few moments, actual rasslin' fans were able to call Adam out for his side of things in the real life situation. It wasn't much, but it was something.

Man, Lita is pretty damn awesome. I wondered why she was not involved in wrestling more since her last match...but I really respect her just living a life, being herself and not depending on her wrestling persona or WWE. That, and I always thought it was unfortunate, the way she went out. Not by any fault of her own, but it was just unceremonious and the fans were pretty awful to her during that time. She was a heel, but felt like she got way more hate than was ever necessary.

Just finish the entire interview, as always amazing work, love the format so much, I love how much of this episode barely talks about wrestling, we get to see a side of Lita....cof, sorry AMY, we really havent even heard, like her alien conspiracy, or gardening, her dog, so many things that kinda more interesting to hear about than the wrestling side so much fun, and also super happy Amy will comeback to guest host an entire episode, can't wait to see who she interview XD. Also now that my dream comes true to get Lita as soon as Trish episode ended, I wonder when you will get Dave Batista and if he is in your list for future interviews, we barely see Dave in podcast with people in the wrestling world and with how he have literally NO FILTER to talk, I think he would be a great guest for a future episode of Oral sessions, hope can happen, anyway amazing episode as always.

WWE ruined Lita just for the sake of pushing Edge. I hate how the fans became such pieces of shit towards someone who literally was the first female wrestler who was legit and actually helped Trish be the star she is today. Without Lita, Trish would've still been over sexualized---And, I'll never forgive the WWE for what they did to Lita. They never cared then about women and they barely care about women now, just look at the Women's roster. Zero interest in storylines for them or plain nonsense.

Plus I remember when Matt became a baby they made the character Lita into trash (being polite). I felt for Amy.6 weeks prior to her having had it and quit WWE, we had to say goodbye to Trish who retired. I wished Amy did a short run so she could retire on her terms.
