Thank you so much for posting this 🖤 The musicianship on this stage is world class, the harmonies are flawless, and Amy's vocals are on point 👌 I'm obsessed with this acoustic version of Everywhere I Go 🖤

Nancy Jodion I was at this concert as well,. You’re right. Amy came out during the encore wearing a Felix Potvin Toronto Maple Leaf jersey. I took a picture of her wearing it. Great concert. We had great seats, about 10 rows from the stage. Sadly, I think this was the last time Amy played in Toronto.

What venue was this at? I've seen her in Toronto a number of times, but I don't recall being at this one. Edit: I DO remember being at this one. It was at Maple Leaf Gardens. I was the one she shared the Sun Chips with at 34:45. I was in the second row I believe. I kept the bag as a souvenir for years afterwards until an ex-girlfriend threw it away one day. LoL

I know they've recorded some her tours because of the beginning of this interview: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXuwZ5VjZcl7ndU it seems as if they recorded another show, but it would be weird for them just to record a small part so i bet they filmed a whole concert video for sure.

So beautiful. What a voice. What stage presence and magnetism. What musicianship. She should have been much bigger than she was and she was pretty big. And how nice to see Will Owsley in his prime. And I'm jealous of Wayne Kirkpatriick getting to slow dance with Amy for a few bars during "It's Too Late.'

Wayne is MWS greatest co-writer. Also was EXCELLENT with Susan Ashton. Wrote a lot of her stuff like No Remedy for Love which I played at my wedding reception in 2002.

This was my second Amy Grant concert (at the 1995 DC stop); nine years had passed since I'd caught her unguarded encore tour. She had become a many times over more compelling performer by this point; I was surprised but pleased by how much she'd improved. And it's great to see Kim Keyes here early in her association with Amy. During "Hats" in DC, Amy chased hats thrown at various places on the stage. Amy's ex-husband Gary Chapman was the opening act, promoting his critically lauded album The Light Inside; he's in the band here as well, I think.

Not in the band on this tour. He only shows up to make a mocking joke of "My Father's Eyes."

I saw her on this tour, but at The Garden State Arts Center in NJ. She opened up that show also with "Good For Me," which is my favorite of her songs. I thought her opening act played way too long, and he even came out for an encore. Amy didn't like it either. After "Good For Me," she was visibly annoyed, and commented to the crowd that she never starts her set this late, but that she would definitely be doing her entire set that evening. I wonder if that guy ever opened for her again!
@cw98172 жыл бұрын
If the opening act was the same as in DC, it was Gary Chapman, her then-husband, promoting his lauded The Light Inside album. He also came onstage when Any sang "Father's Eyes" during this concert. I would be surprised if the length of his set would have made her upset, as it would have been the same from stop to stop And if Any opened with "Good for Me" instead of "Hope Set High," that would have been a rarity, as she is not one to change set lists during a tour
@WMUH12 жыл бұрын
@@cw9817 - I see from your comment that you are a very precise person, so I will try to be precise to you in my reply. The warm-up act was not her husband. It was Steven Curtis Chapman. And yes, she was definitely annoyed when she came out starting so late, probably because a warm-up act comes out for an encore, which I've never seen at any other concert I've ever attended. As to the opening song, you are technically correct that it is "Hope Set High," as is also seen on this video of her concert in Toronto. If you will notice, she is doing a VERY brief version of "Hope Set High," which I viewed as more of a "prelude" than an actual song. Her first "full" song of the night was "Good For Me," as I noted.
