Take my hand, hold me close Every breath's a gift, we don't know what tomorrow holds But I know I need you, you show me the truth And I will reach you somehow I'll find a way Build another world beyond the pain I'll find a way to keep you safe Until the end of time La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la I can't hide tears I've cried Nothing in this world will move me, I'm never gonna leave your side I want to see your face and hide in your wake As long as you are with me I'll find a way Build another world beyond the pain I'll find a way to keep you safe Until the end, oh Break the chains within your mind Fighting blindly through the dark I know you hear me, I would give my life If it would save you from this I'll find a way Build another world beyond the pain I'll find a way to keep you safe Until the end of time La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

Every time I think I’ve heard every amy lee song I stumble upon another one, and man I am so glad. Her enchanting voice tells a story like nothing else, and every time I hear it I feel like I’m disappearing into a new fairytale.

This song never was a part of the Aftermath soundtrack, it was written for a movie called Prince of Persia, but was not selected, so Amy has been skeptical about releasing it wether as an Evanescence or as a solo song since there is a studio version which she said is a lot better than the live version

I'm annoyed. Why isn't this on Spotify? Isn't it supposed to be on the same album Aftermath? This song and Dark water are my favourite.

she's a really great composer, I was watching some movie in Italian and the music at the end while the credits were rolling was beautiful. I said to myself "self this sounds like something amy would compose" well sure enough it was. the movie stared the girl from game of thrones, "mother of dragons, breaker of chains, kalese. denarious targarian, the un-bunt lol, queen of the andles and heir to the throne of the 7 kingdoms, first of her name, protector of the realm......you get it.

And it is not a case of Amy being able to release the song, should she want. The movie company that paid for it, has the sole right. Paula Cole is not involved. Just the fact Amy performed it at Paula's Wellsprings benefit.
@Jamie7 жыл бұрын
That's curious, as production companies rarely commission songs without going through a label. Any sane label wouldn't sell exclusive rights to a production company, hence why soundtrack albums are released. If that's what happens, it really sucks.
@TeamAmers7 жыл бұрын
There are exceptions. Take the Blind Movie. You can comb through the credits, and not find any indication of a record label for the music. Certainly not the Lakeshore records logo of the kid jumping off the pier. Now over a year since it debut at woodstock, 6 months after it hit theaters, Lakeshore is releasing a digital soundtrack. The movie studio hired them to distribute a soundtrack. For "Find A Way", Amy said it was recorded, but she didn't know if it would ever get released. She said years later she has had work get canned in the past. She wouldn't say what though, not wanting to bite the hand that fed her. In case they want to hire her again. Over all the point is this song is not part of Aftermath. Paula had nothing too do with the song. Dave may not have had anything to do with Find A Way, other than playing it with Amy. So you might consider editing your post, to reflect the truth.
@Jamie7 жыл бұрын
In a similar way, radio stations don't list the record label for each track they play. In some cases, the movie company may be the record label but that only usually occurs with the larger conglomerates (like Sony or Warner, who have both production and labels in their family). We'll probably find out more in the next few years. Dave has credits in the title as he performed the cello and you can hear him in the track. Paula is listed in the tags, but I don't imply any credit - it helps improve search results. There's nothing for me to edit.
@TeamAmers7 жыл бұрын
How about a little proof Dave has credits in the title. Given the song, and movie, was never released. And again you fail to address the fact you associate this with Aftermath. And it is not associated with Aftermath.
@Jamie7 жыл бұрын
I'm really confused as to what you're getting at - look at the video title? It says "ft. Dave Eggar". Dave plays the cello in this rendition of the track. No problem. It's essentially the same era of Amy Lee, hence why the artwork is similar, and why it's listed in the tags. On a more generic note - what are you trying to prove here? Being passive aggressive in the comments of a KZbin video ain't cool.
