Mine is also on order and will be in a day or two. I can see where the thing actually could be satisfying to a degree of wiping out those dandys and thistles. Cant wait to try mine out.

Too funny! Something that makes weeding fun... i definitely need one of those! I like how it slings the weeds...

Chickens love dandelions... I'm glad you are avoiding chemical use... every part of the dandelion is edible, why are they important to remove? Plus, it's the first meaningful source for honey bees in spring... nicely engineered tool there and it does indeed look like fun. Would it also remove thistles? I'm glad it brings you so much joy... Not just the flowers are good to eat. The entire plant is edible and highly nutritious! The Leaves can be cooked like spinach and has more nutrients than spinach!

Would this work with crab grass?

If this works it's a Godsend! I also HATE herbicides. I think I was exposed to too much pesticide back-spray when spraying 5 years ago and it screwed a year of my life. I don't guess herbicides are nearly as dangerous, given that pesticides are DESIGNER NEUROTOXINS. But, still, I am all about simple, sure kinetics against pests. Bugs? Crush them. Weeds? Yank them out. And this makes that reasonably non sucky. I'm psyched. If I get one I will have to take before and after panoramas of my MONUMENTAL weed patch of a yard.

Yes, it works great but do it in spring with softer soil. It is fun with softer soil. Our Willamette Valley soil on my hill is rock hard come July, not able to pull them then.
