If only Amy was given the time to record a cover of this song. I hope Amy Winehouse and Mary Weiss will both sing this song together in heaven. Angels picked them for a friend. And that’s called sad.

This is Shangri-Las vocal. This is a tribute to Winehouse's contribution to knowing what the music of the '60's was about. She lived there in her mind. If you totally immerse your mind in that kind of cultural change, you can find yourself being totally absorbed...it was an enlightening time, yet, it was also a very difficult time. I got chills listening to this....my mom passed in April....

“I love the drama. I love the atmosphere. I love the sound effects. And they wrote the most depressing song ever: “I Can Never Go Home Anymore.” When me and my boyfriend finished, I used to listen to that song on repeat, just sitting on my kitchen floor with a bottle of Jack Daniels. I’d pass out, wake up and do it again. My flatmate used to come in, leave bags of KFC and just leave. She’d be like, ‘There’s your dinner, I’m going out.’ It’s the saddest song in the world.” Amy Winehouse ~ Amy Winehouse: The Day She Came to Dingle

Amy showed good taste in liking those girl groups back in the 50's and 60's. And she sounded as good or better then most of them. We missed you Amy back in the 50's and 60's, but it was a thrill to see that even todays generation on rare occasions can be as good or even better like AMY as the great girl groups of the late 50's and early 60's, yet Amy didn't stop at the early 1960's as she did songs by The Shangra'La's of the mid 60's. Did she do any of the Supremes songs? I bet AMY could have left the Supremes standing in a trail of her dust if she wanted to.

Just listen to Back To Black. It's very inspired by this song, esp. the "calm" middle-part towards the end. Live she often sang the lyrics of "Remember Walking In The Sand" during this part. But it owes more to "I can never go home anymore". "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" is one of the few cover-versions - sung by Amy Winehouse - that is better than the original track.

+KOALABEARSONGS, BMI NASHVILLE, TN It's only a 50 year old teen aged tin pan alley sob song. I doubt many Amy fans have heard it, though it clearly inspired "Back to Black".
@koalabearsongs37978 жыл бұрын
+Lenny Schafer While I agree that it is inspirational, it is hardly "ONLY" anything. It is a classic pop song and it will be played and rediscovered for generations to come. Additionally, a "tin pan ally " song is hardly anything to discount. I think you underestimate the social importance of Pop music, you certainty did with this comment. Seems I've seen a video of Amy doing "Will You love me Tomorrow"...another one of those "tin pan ally teen sob songs".......I think you are missing the point of what classic pop music was about, and the impact it had on our modern world. Just my opinion...Peace.
