I'm pretty sure that this song is about the same relationship/man she was singing about in Back to Black. That whole album is about their relationship. It's part of what makes a person feel more like they know her. Her music is real, honest, and autobiographical.

Hey Jack, Amy was truly special. I feel she had so much more to give. "I wish i could say no regrets/and no emotional debts". Check out In My Bed from her debut album Frank. Would love you to do a reaction to anything by Jessie Reyez. Big Amy influences, she loves her. Great One from her debut EP Kiddo is a beautiful song.

I have a huge problem with depression. You are so right about how depressed people try to look like everything's okay and that we are happy. People don't really want to know how you're feeling. Most people don't understand depression and aren't empathetic.

Don’t know if anyone mentioned this, but the man she is often writing about in her songs is named Blake Fielder-Civil with whom she had a very long on-again off-again relationship. One that was often complicated by both his and Amy’s continual drug and alcohol use and abuse. There is no doubt that Amy wrote songs from the joy, love, pain and hurt she was experiencing in her life and she is often credited as paving the way for British soul singers like Adele and others that came after her.

Any Winehouse and Tyler James duet called “Best For Me” is my ABSOLUTE favorite from her. I listen to it constantly. Those two have some real soulful voices and she sounds amazing on it. Hopefully you can react to it. “Valerie” is also a great one, more uptempo ..

Please do Valerie.. her original.. and then the reggae Baby J remix.. because.. it's just EVERYTHING!!! No exaggeration!!! Also... please do You Know I'm No Good.. Love Is A Losing Game.. and Me and Mr Jones!!! Well that's just to start.. I have more I'd lovvve for you to react to!!! Okay.. I am going to stop now... lol.....
@greatsweetnice4 жыл бұрын
The instrumental for this song is from a song called “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell. The original song, is a love song. Amy is singing about losing potential love. I personally think, the contrast, is why Amy chose the instrumental. I’ve always interpreted this song to be about Amy messing around with a guy that already has a significant other, and the time has come, where they have to end the fling, and she’s emotional, but knew the entire time, it was inevitable, so she refuses to cry for more than a day over it. She knows that it made no sense to get attached in the first place. The line, “I’ll be some next man’s other woman soon,” implies that she’s been in similar situations many times. She’s kind of having a talk with herself, saying, “This is nothing new. This is how it always ends, so there’s no point in crying about it. In the morning, my tears will be gone.” I LOVE this song!!! :)

you need to react to warwick avenue- duffy. duffy, adele and amy blew up around the same time and at the time, amy and duffy were bigger than adele winning prestigious awards. they all had powerful, unique voices hailing from the u.k and did the old school, blues/doo-wop/soulful kind of music. in the end, amy was taken too soon and duffy went through a severely traumatic incident.
