Painting the front door definitely does make a difference. I recently painted my door a creamy yellow and it made the front of my home so much brighter.

Amy, LOVE the front porch. I love a porch that you can sit out in the rain or on a sunny day. I guess I should say a deep porch. So many porches today are too shallow to sit out in the rain. This is perfect. Your set up and the swing are shouting for morning coffee,afternoon visits and sunsets. Thanks for letting us sit a spell.

We have a porch swing on our covered deck and we love it. It only seats three adults. As soon as someone gets up, there is someone ready to claim their spot❤️

Just a tip...I add the plastic pot turned over in a big container to save soil! Love the new color on your door! I’m so ready to start planting spring flowers but it’s still too early here in the Blue Ridge mountains! Your porch looks AMAZING!

My dream was a log cabin or a gone with the wind home or a red barn turned into a house..but all with big wide front porches or wrap around wide porches..I think they are sooo special ..like sidewalks..I don’t know why builders got away from either one of those..I could just live on the porch!!!.I loove your home Amy and all u have done to it and the porch is soo welcoming!!

What a difference paint makes. The door looks great. Ferns are my absolute favorite thing to hang in my porch. You mentioned you wanted to use some plants from your pots in the yard. If those white and green plants are what I think they are, in North East at least they are a fast growing plant that will take over everything and you will never ever get rid of them. Enjoy the day.

Yes. the door needed to go black or white! sure you don't want to paint the wooden swing? so much more elegant! i never would have thought to add rosemary in with my flowers! i'm 62 so you are smart! you were so bright to place that thin rug under the welcome mat! the door is amazingly elegant now!

The new paint was the icing on the cake..looks sooooo good all finished and ready to enjoy. Put something in the bottoms of the 2 pots by the door to lift up the ferns, they'll look much bigger and more lush!

Beutiful Amy as always.. Tip for you under your door mats that dark shadow on the floor can be remove with pouring white 1galon white vinigar on it let it sit.. Then pour Clorox then have a bucket of hot as can be water and a little dawn soap. A lot of arm with a broom clean water and Volia clean as new you will be impressed. Thats how i keep my front clean..😘
