After cooling the boiled eggs gently roll the egg on the counter until the shell has separated from the inner membrane and the shell will remove completely

After cooking and cooling, the key is to crack the wide end end break the membrane. Then peel under water.

I also have had the peeling egg dilemma. I’ve tried all the things. Sometimes I think the older eggs peel better. Sometimes I think peeling them while they are still hot. For me it seems if they cool, the shell sticks. Sometimes I don’t think about it, and the peels come right off. I’ve come to determine it’s just the luck of the draw. Lol.

The fresher they are, the harder to peel. I’ve gotten them straight from the chicken farm and peeling them intact is almost impossible.

I have tried so many things for the eggs. The way that ALWAYS works is to slowly lower them into already boiling water. I dont like halfway cooked eggs so i boil them for 15 minutes. Immediately put them under cold water and crack them. I roll mine on the counter to crack them really good. But i run the water while i am doing it. Dont let them sit with the shells intact. Thats when the shells stick because the membrane has a chance to stick back to the shell again.

When I make hard boiled eggs,I put the eggs in a pan of cool water and when it comes to a boil I turn it off put the lid on and they are done in 10 minutes. As far as peeling it’s just hit and miss but I don’t usually have a problem.Everyone I have made the bean donuts love them and I don’t usually frost them.God bless y’all and WFS!!!!!

I buy the pasteurized eggs from Sam’s. I add some white vinegar and some salt to the water, then I let it come to a boil. I Set a 10 min alarm then the eggs should be done. I Add cold water and let them cool. They peel nicely every time. Try it and hopefully it will work

It’s nice to know I’m not alone in failed meals. My husband is my picky eater. He also has a lot of food allergies and it makes it more difficult to find new recipes that work for both of us sometimes. I love your positive attitude towards things like that, it’s such an encouragement for me. God Bless you sweet friend ❤

@amymaryon Try this tip for boiling eggs. There are 2 tips actually. Take your egg, raw....lightly tap the bowl of the spoon on the wide end of the egg while rotating the egg....when you hear the snap...put in water and boil as normal. The other trick is to use a push pin 📌.... Puncture the wide end of the egg then boil as normal. Run under ice water for 5 mins and both should peel much easier. The trick is to make sure that the membrane on the inside of the egg separates from the shell. That way it is easy to peel. 💕 💜

I agree with ice on hot eggs. I pour hot water off eggs then I put ice over eggs and run some cold water in pan. I was told that you want to shock the hot eggs and the ice causes egg to separate from egg. I use this method every time and very seldom have any problem with peeling the eggs. One thing I do I pour water and ice off eggs, place lid on pan and shake eggs back and forth so the hot side of pan. More likely than not the over half of the eggs have the shell fall off

Amy, I had problems with boiled eggs until I learned this.....boil the water 1st, once it's boiling, use a big spatula and slowly add all the eggs. Fire on medium high, boil for 11 minutes. As soon as the timer goes off, rinse under cold water. It doesn't have to be freezing your just shocking the eggs. They peel like butter every time!!!!!

I use my air fryer now to do hard boiled eggs..I love it ! But no matter what method I use to cook them, I always put them in Ice water tap the big end of the egg and let them sit for 10 minutes or so. Peel them UNDER COLD RUNNING WATER starting from the end you cracked. You need to make sure you the water gets under the MEMBRANE. You will be able to tell because the egg will be smooth. I just did 12 eggs tonight. It works EVERY single time for me without fail !

I do cold water cook bout 8mins, NO LID u want them to come up to a rolling boil & then I add baking soda u only need bought 1-2tbsps, it will bubble up & then let cook bout minute. Then drain off hot water, add cold water add a little bit of ice & let cool. When cool u can peal. Hit the top of the egg thats where the air pocket is it will help to peel. ( tip, I Crack egg all around the whole thing & I peel in my cool water) and it looks like ur not the skin layer off that will cause the egg to stick😊 good luck

For boiled eggs, I saw a "hack" about tapping the round side (the bigger side) of the egg till you hear a crack, tap gently and you will hear it make a different sound then you boil them as usual, my Mom said she did that and skipped the cold water and they all peeled super nicely (except one but I think that was my error lol), I have tried it about 3 times and it is the best I have found, hope this helps someone else! :)

Easy peel boiled eggs. Take your egg large end up. Take a spoon 🥄 and tap the end lightly until you hear a pop. That’s the membrane releasing. Then boil as usual. I use instant pot. I think mine cooks seven minutes then let slowly release 2 more minutes. Take basket and place in ice bath. Peel eggs. You will be amazed. I did tell you awhile back but I understand you have lots of comments. Please try you won’t be disappointed! You can thank me later!😅

The only way I know of to get my eggs to peel well (I don’t know if your water was boiling to start) is to have the water boiling and then put your eggs in and let boil for ten minutes. If I start in cold water the shell sticks every time. Other than that I don’t know how to help but if you figure out something else, I will be all ears as there is nothing more frustrating, lol.
