My state does not have one of these stores, that I know of, but one thing that’s interesting about watching these videos is if you pay attention your Store will probably have the same items on clearance. The dates fine they’re just changing the packaging or something. I can almost guarantee that our local store will have those Annie’s meal packs on “Manager special.”

Winter is such a bulk up. Living in Minnesota 1960-80 growing up my parents stuffed every corner of our property. To help us, the neighbors, church, there wasn't a walmarts or dillons yet there. And it's super hard to shop bulk by snowmobile. I've been bulking up a bit late this year but looking at kroger walmarts aldis hyvee and Sam's on 5for ? 10 for 10 or 10 for 30 mgr specials weekly deals. So bit cheaper than last year. I always remember several bags for the city's food blessing boxes. Alot of mfg and kids in school. we are a 24-7 working community 17k in mfg at our plants. always new people coming in starting at the bottom.

I grew up in the 60’s and the variety of food out there is crazy. We didn’t have many choices and honestly I don’t remember many snacks. I’m certainly guilty of having snacks in the house especially for the grandchildren. Being one of 10 we ate what ever my father hunted or fished for, a huge bowl of potatoes, and a vegetable that was canned from the garden. Popcorn was a treat on Sunday evenings. My grandfather grew the popcorn.
@amixeblu2 жыл бұрын
That is still the way we eat. Not many snacks in between meals, and 3 square meals a day (enough) and just potatoes, a vegetable of some kind and a meat (or fish). What more do you need, honestly?
@SRose-vp6ew2 жыл бұрын
Popcorn is also an affordable long term emergency food storage item like rice and beans. Just put it in air proof container in the basement.

One of my favorite at home movie snacks growing up (and still is) is hot buttered cereal. Melt butter (same as you do for popcorn) and pour over either Cheerios or puffed rice. Salt as desired. Yummmm! And no kernels in the teeth! 💗 I would love to know if you try it!

One of our favorite desserts: spread some cool whip on bottom of a container, dip oreo cookies in milk then place on top of cool whip, continue layering cool whip and milk dipped oreoes. It's best if you let it set for awhile before cutting into it, the oreos absorb the milk and get soft. I know it sounds weird but it is so good! You rocked it, with all that shopping! I am not much of a shopper myself, but wow you found some great deals!! Have a fantastic day my friend, see you tomorrow!🙂❤

Good morning. You were able to get lots of meat meat for the next month plus and different kinds. That is really great, and crackers are always a good option. It is funny what your helpers gravitated towards for snacks. They now know, go with mom shopping, discount or even Walmart and you can choose some snacks. I am glad you were able to find so much dairy free snacks. I was surprised you didn't get jelly/jam that you were out of when you pointed them out. Love the discount geocery hauls. I, too, live in a high tax, high service state. I think you can feed two for less than $200 per week. As we've learned from Amy, it takes thoughtful meal planning and preparation. She's a master at it.

I just looked at their site and the closest one too me is 200 miles away. With gas prices that wouldn't save me anything as we drive a 2015 Ford pickup. It gets good gas milage for what it is but it's not good by a small cars gas consumption. Grocery outlet could make big bucks around here because we have mostly seniors and lower economic families. I hope they start putting them in, in our areas.

So before I got sick we had gone grocery shopping and filled up the cabnits...nothing like having all the foods but not able to eat what you want :( I LOVE food! Lol I'm going to have to completely change my style of cooking, this will be one way to keep me home rather then in the hospital. Amy, it's not going to be easy...This also means Bugles will have to be a take two from time to time rather then a bowl of them. 😢 Question for ya, and curious....What is the one food you would miss most if you had to give it up? Discount store shopping isn't a regular haul. Fresh items are bought at the local farmers market , Walmart or Sam's Club. Most of this stuff will be stored away according to the dates on the packaging. It doesn't all get eaten within the week. She is always able to find some good deals at the discount stores. It never hurts to have extra stuff in storage. Other youtubers don't always show everything they actually buy.
