Thanks for teaching "gathering your fragments". Yesterday, I made chili with items that would have gone to waste. 3/4 of V8, half a jar of salsa, and half a jar of cocktail sauce! The chili is amazing. There are now several containers stored in my freezer and my family loved it!

Hi Amy, I have been watching your videos for a couple of months and just have to let you know how you have inspired me. We are only a small family 2adults and 2 kids but both of us work and I found myself cooking daily and not healthy meals. I have now been cooking every 4 to 6 weeks and stocking up the freezer. I now love being in the kitchen, we are saving money, kids love helping and my fussy 10yo is now eating breakfast (she loves the burritos). I also do pancakes and waffles for the freezer and really want to try making yoghurt again. Thankyou for sharing all your knowledge.

Love your videos. I grew up in a large blended family and your videos bring back many memories of our chaotic daily life. Now I have two precious granddaughters that I am passing on home making skills to. The oldest is four now and she enjoys helping and learning new things. I am a retired Navy wife, and chili was a monthly favorite. I made a huge pot, then froze 2 portions for later. One was used for for chili dogs and the other I dumped into a pan and topped with cornbread batter and baked it. I would cut out a serving and flip it onto a plate. The cornbread was on the bottom then, with the hot chili running over the edges. I topped it with shredded cheese. So good! A great way to stretch a food budget.

I made food my parents and I loved like spaghetti and raw veggies. I had my nieces and nephews try a couple of bites off a community plate. where everyone could only have 2 bites from the community plate if they wanted more of something. I would give them the prepared food that they wanted and they would eat. And I made a mental note of what they liked and they got to doctor the left overs the way they wanted it.

Be sure you get the stainless steel immersion blender, as opposed to the plastic one. I used mine for really hot soup, and it somewhat melted the plastic. A bit more expensive, but def. worth it. Blessings
