Dougo sure is right about vehicles in that left lane. They need to pull to the right lane so vehicles can pass them. We really enjoyed you and Dougo remembering your wedding day.😊. That was a good looking truck! Cool video 👍❤️

Hi Dougo and Amy! My advice when you have to buy another vehicle is dont settle for something, because you will regret that purchase later on. I know this, because i have done that mistake before lol. With how much a good used vehicle costs nowadays, you might as well be happy with the purchase. God bless you both!

I remember 88 well for several reasons. I was 31 at the time. Our springs on the farm dried up, we had bought land a few years before that was infested with wooley cupgrass that we couldn't get under control at that time. No one even knew what it was at the time, but it did pretty well in the drought! It was taller than the corn, and I couldn't follow the rows to pick it. We didn't get enough hay for the winter for our beef cattle, and we baled the fodder for feed to get them through the winter! And my grandfather that I spent every day with, died in that summer also, in the hottest, dryest part of the year. Yes, I remember 88 very well, but not fondly for sure!

I religiously honor tire rotation at 7k miles. My pickup gets 45k miles from a set. My wife and I were married June 4th of 1988. It was hot that spring and cooled off that weekend here in central Illinois. And got hot again right afterwards.

Well, Amy and Dougo, I remember in 1988, it was dry up at New Leipzig, North Dakota (about 100 miles south west of Bismarck, North Dakota)! I was farming with my father-in-law at the time. We got married in October 1985. And the best marriage advice I give to husbands is this: “Yes Dear, You are absolutely correct”❤ 👍 “It soothes any conflict out of the picture!”👍😇 Sincerely, Sam Hanson 😅

Loved the Longhorn and I am so tired of black or dark gray interiors, that leather brown looked luxurious! Weather is the one thing that we know we have in common so we start small talk off with that! Long marriages require compromise (negotiations), tolerance, and forgiveness and I agree with Amy that there is much more appreciation and happiness than disappointment in a good marriage. I rotate tires every oil change and constantly get at least 50,000 miles out of my 60,000 mile tires.

It will be 31 years for my Mrs. and me May 20, 2025. She's still a firecracker and I'm still having a blast. As for tire rotation, we do it on our vehicles at every oil change - roughly every two to three months depending on how far we drive in that period...

Re tire rotation; I run snow tires all the way around in winter. When the tries get changed to summer tires the fronts from last summer go on the back. (they are marked on the inside wall) ALWAYS keeping the side the same. NEVER do left side tires go on the right. The winters when they go on will get rotated, too.

I remember 1988. That was a bad one. I still remember combining wheat & the temp was 102 degrees & we had a pull type combine then & no air conditioning in the tractor. My Dad & I took turns running the combine so we could get a break from the heat. The Mustinka river dried up & my friend & his Dad were driving 3 wheelers up & down the river bed. A smaller lake in the area dried up completely also.

Different seasons have a major effect on tires and road conditions. As you know I drove semi for 20 yrs. Being on the road that much you see everything. On vehicles, good luck on deciding what to buy. Back when I bought my last 2 trucks I just stuck with the same color. Now that I'm retired I quit driving new vehicles, now I only get out when I want not because I have to. Awesome video Amy. 🫶🫶🫶

I'm in Florida. Down here a dark interior will burn you if it's been out in the sun for a bit. My wife wanted a Lexus RC-350 F Sport in red with a beige interior. There was only one in the country. Every other one had a black interior. I found it in NC after a not so smart Florida dealer sent me an offer with the Vin number I knew he didn't actually have. I Googled the Vin and found the NC dealer. I bought it over the phone. They didn't even want a deposit. I made them take though as I didn't want to lose it. We flew up there wheeled our luggage into the dealership and drove back to Florida. It was actually a fun experience. The NC dealer gave me a great deal on it too. $10,000 less than all the Florida dealers.

Amy i have read that the cheaper branded tires from Japan or China are very out of balance from new. It dies not matter how you try and balance them it does not work ever with weights on the edge if the rim it will still be off and shake and bounce the vehicle. Stick with the bigger brands and have less problems.

If the steer tyres are scrubbing on your tractor trucks it will be because the rear suspension is out of alignment. I have seen a truck wear out a set of steer tyres in only 4 thousand miles because the rear end was out of alignment. Get it checked by a truck alignment expert.

Last time i had tires balanced with actual wheel weights, almost all of them flew off on the way home. Started running balancing beads and never looked back. I believe tire rotations of vehicles lighter than 4k pounds should be done every 5-6 oil changes and anything heavier should be every other oil change. Also having softer tires should be rotated fairly often as well. I have a 1 ton pick up and do it once a year in the spring. Current tires have 60k miles on them and have worn evenly since new.
