This kid is not a "genius" as he is portrayed. Society needs to stop considering people "precocious and amazing" just because they can memorize the definitions of a couple of words. Anyone could do that, if they want to. Frankly, though, most people don't have time to waste their life on things as frivolous as that. Society has become to inane that we dilute the terms "booksmart" and "streetsmart" into one. Honestly, being streetsmart is a very overlooked trait and is overshadowed by people who can recite the definitions of various words. As well, I would disagree with how you commend his parents for raising him, as in my eyes he appear to be rather pretentious, as if he thinks everyone should be as booksmart as he is.
