I've got all the achievements in this game, and the builds you can put together can get ridiculous. It feels good to unlock all the ships and weapons and finally beat the highest difficulty.

iirc construct cooldowns are tied to your fire rate. There might also be a construct-specific upgrade. Constructs and orbs are the newest features, so they are likely to get a balance pass at some point.

If you continue this game keep in mind there is no magnet in the levels, so you have to pick up as many shards as you can yourself or with the help of the construct. In the second run you let them shards vanish left and right, easily missing out on at least 2 level-ups. Also healing paired with "Endothermic Repair" can turn into a nice helper because each stack of "ER" increases the spikes damage five times of the received healing. And there are many ways to receive healing in this game!

7:10 you get rerolls, locks, alters, and banishes with meta progression, allowing you to really customize what you do

Have you ever played geometry wars? It's quite similar to this, maybe by the same dev. It's not a bullet haven but it does get mental very quickly

But what the game suffers most from is deck bloat, as you unlock more stuff there is an incredible amount of rubbish (some cards you literally will NEVER ever take), and building a decent build gets harder, and whilst they tried to address this, its still a massive issue later on.

Check out Nova Drift if you haven't already. It's like this vibe but I would say it's arguably better. Way more customisations and builds etc. Super great game
