The legal system has to remove the rights of rapists that cause pregnancy. I could never insist a woman continue a rape caused pregnancy if the father of the fetus has rights such as visitation or parental rights. The victim should not be forced to interact with that man ever.

My girlfriend got raped at the age of 14 and found out she was pregnant. This is what she shared with me at age 20. She chose abortion because the thought of the child she was carrying, which she refers to by names i cant mention here, filled her with a such a deep loathing that she would have cut it out herself if she could. As far as she was concerned the child was the crime and she was having none of it. I hope this helps answer why some rape victims opt for abortions. I didn't press her for more information as she was clearly upset at this point.

I'm so sorry for the horrific crime your girlfriend experienced in being raped. That is a tragedy and I hope she seeks healing for the deep wounds that leaves behind.
