hands down, my favourite part of visiting another country is the supermarkets, I love seeing what they have got compared with what we have got and picking up a few things to bring back.

This was truly a treat colonel! A education for me. I honestly thought the grocery stores would be dirty or at the very least substandard. Even cleaner than the ones here in NW IN. Also a lot more sophisticated. I think I would have to try something from each country lol.

Great! That "paste" with nuts in a plastic container is tahini. It's an Arabic concoction that contains sesame oil and pistachios--delicious!

What a fabulous store! It is so clean and organized. I hope you realize how lucky you are to be able to do things like this during this horrible pandemic. From what I see on the news this morning, tne USA is not the best place to be right now. I wish you could take us into the simulator with you, but I'm pretty sure that's not possible. Take good care of yourself and stay safe.

Very nice there! My daughter loves Nutella too. Alot of foods I have ate there. Too spicy for me. Lol Also in Pakistan. They eat alot of dates. I was married to a banker from Karachi, Pakistan. Pakistan has the best fruit I have ever eaten. It's very sweet and delicious. Alot of people from the Philippines work in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We went to the Zoo in Abu Dhabi while visiting his brother in Dubai. Nice Zoo. Thanks for the memories again!

I’ve noticed that other countries beef looks redder than Americans, their butter yellower, and eggs brighter in color too....I think us Americans are getting ripped off. Maybe too much additives in animal feeds, idk....but I’m jealous of their pretty foods.

Yeah we got too many additives and chemicals in our food. From what I understand, the brits have outlawed some of the additives in their country that we here in the states still use in our food. Our food is really DIRTY. God only knows what we are eating. And if we knew the truth of what is in our food, we probably wouldn’t eat it... God loves you. God bless.

The grocery store is wonderful, the spices, the different foods, I would be in there for hours! Can you send packages back home with the spices you cant get in USA? FABULOUS grocery store!! So much variety - like Trader Joe's on speed. I was surprised at how most everything is labeled in English. I would have thought it would be a giant guessing game as to what you are picking up.

Stephen, I so enjoyed seeing this grocery store! So interesting! My husband and I went to Israel last year, and schwarma (?) was served a lot there, but it was bright orange! Guess it was some kind of spice, but not very appetizing looking! I lost 6 pounds on that trip, and thought I was going to starve! 😂

We have a huge Chestnut tree. I'm tryig to set out a few more. This store is amazing. Dates come in more than 200 different kinds. I love the coffees, teas, spices, oils. Sometimes I crave Ramen. I made a mint simple syrup to add to lemon juice. I will share it on the friends page on facebook. Turkey Pastrami is awesome. TY that was fun. Love ya.

Wow, so interesting. I have never been anywhere really and I have never imagined that there were regular grocery stores in the middle east. I always just pictured out door markets like they show in all the tv movies. Lol . I guess this just proves to me how ignorant I really am when it comes to other countries. English biscuits come in savory and sweet. I worked over there for two weeks and they loved that I would drink hot tea with them. I love seeing what the grocery store there looks like. I would love being able to do that. I love dates. We had them this time of year when I was a kid.

What a great store, such varieties and an amazing-looking produce section. I'd love to have a store like that here in central NY. I miss the RitterSport! My kids miss the original Kinder eggs and Fruitt candy. I hope one day to have a family trip back to Germany to reminisce. Thanks for sharing this! Dates & figs. Love them both!! Wondering if you get looks, etc., OR, are they used to seeing Americans/caucasians, etc? Slo-mo is a good thing at times. We can see it better, & read some of the prices, descriptions. NOTE: Almost 40% of the olive oil sold in USA, is fake & horrible. I did research on that subject & was really let down. They're pretty used to seeing Westerners. In a country of about 9 million, only 2 million are Emirati. Rest are ex-pats over here working.
