Superb. Just superb. Thank you so much for these clips. We need more, I tell you. So many great scenes ... the climactic shoot-outs in China Rain and Solo and The Child Broker ... the "lucky me" scene in Lady Cop ... the confrontations with Adam Ant in The Lock Box ... the manrikigusari fight scene in Mama's Boy ... the fire scene in Counterfire ... the scene in The Line where McCall explains to the young man how it feels to kill ... all superb. And so many more.

You’re right, there are so many great moments. Even the smaller, more intricate moments of plot and character development were great and so well made. What’s your favourite episode btw? If you have one of course…

@@terrortower666 The Distant Fire, if I had to pick just one. Yours? And you’re right, it is important not to overlook the subtleties of the show. I could also have mentioned the scene in Prelude where McCall warns Scott not to judge him, and, of course, absolutely any scene featuring Harley Gage!

@@jamesheath7052 Yes, The Distant Fire is amazing! “I made one error of judgment today, believe me I will not make another!” fantastic. Oh yeah that scene had some really powerful acting and writing. In fact Prelude would have to be my favourite episode. It balances everything perfectly: McCall’s dark past, his relationship with Scott, friendship with Control and all the trauma he’s suffered. Gage was great, didn’t like him at first but he grew on me significantly

@@terrortower666 Agreed. Prelude is one of many strong episodes in season 2. I have to say, though, that Mama's Boy is also a fave of mine. Good cast, good story, good action. "Three rules of hand-to-hand combat ..." Absolutely superb.

The actor who played Doctor Gary Foxworth is Philip Kraus, and this is his second of three appearances in The Equalizer, and great acting performance from Edward Woodward and Keith Szarabajka [who plays Nicky Kostmeyer] and this is great episode from Season 3.

I feel sorry for his next patient! Who'd want to trust a wound-up doctor? LOL

Would be funny if the patient sits down, tells him he has uncontrollable urges towards Doctors wives

Edward Woodward lived in Cornwall, and would often take a trip over the river to Devon in order to do a Saturday shop at Tavistocks Pannier Market. Unfortunately he died before he got a chance to buy any of the fine pieces on offer from Fionas Jewellery Stand.

Though much less 'In your face' I truly understand this portrayal of 'Robert McCall as against that of Mr. Denzil Washington. Whatever his past 'demons' are, he STILL is able to get them across without the out and out violence that followed in Mr. Washington's portrayal. :-)
@terrortower666 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. He handled him self, psychically very well. He only killed someone in situations where he had no choice - violence was always his last resort. That’s one of the reasons that excelled him from other ‘action heroes’ of the time
