I think the hour window is too small for my old eyes. Other than that. This is a banger of a deal, and with the $20 off it's a steal. As far as a non-hacking movement, this is a dress watch, man! If you're worrying about split second accuracy, you're not concentrating on the lovely lass that is hanging off your arm. Take it from an old geezer... dont sweat the split second accuracy.

Good review, these are nice looking watches and I much prefer an st17 movement to the Merkur Tongji. With regard to non-hacking movements, I'm not worried for watches in a rotation, with the watch stopped, I wait until the second hand is correct, then wind the movement. Once I have the second hand correct (usually within a second) I then set the time as normal and jobs done 👍 Sugess have just brought out a rather nice watch with the same movement, but it's a lot more expensive.

Vario makes some great straps! Love their leather. I need to pickup one of these now that I've seen it in your video...looks much better than the website photos. You can really get a feel for the texture.

Thanks for the great review of a beautiful watch. I always say the Merkur Group probably have some best original designs out of the Chinese Brands. I don’t buy a lot of watches, and the specs just keep me away from Merkur Watches. But definitely down the future, they are on my radar. Thanks!

Beautiful watch. I just wish it was bigger. About being non hacking, mechanical watches aren't that accurate, so if someone wanted to be bang on you'd have to adjust it every day anyway. So in my view unless you have a radio controlled watch, time is a approximate showing of time. I would gladly sacrifice exact time for that dial.
