Heck, it is not even exclusive to im since Revolver and Bohman also use it (the latter even using it even in Master Duels). The only case it where it usage don't follow the Speed Duel format is during the final duel vs Bohman, where the Ignises(?) create Firewall Darkfluid for him. I don't think this one is bad thugh since Bohman was abusing cheating his Skill multiple times and Yusaku still neede to do a complex play to summon darkfluid with number of counters needed to win. EDIT: While Storm Access, with Ai help, could give Playmaker a new card each duel, it could count as a downside when one consider Ai could just get him the new mosnter outside duels and leave Playmaker skill slot to something more useful. Besides that and being moral/emotional support, Ai had no futher uses in winning duels overall while being Yusaku partner. During Season 1 and 2 Yusaku is the smarter one of the duo and Ai advices either were redudant, pointing out the obvious, or, in at least one occasion, detrimental. Besides the above example in master duel, his only other helpful action for the duel was preventing Playmaker of falling in his 3rd duel vs Revolver.

The only other potential answer I can think of that Yami Yugi may have had would have been to draw Palladium Oracle Mahad (and thus Special Summon it immediately via it's effect) and have a way to buff it's ATK _just_ enough (Accesscode Talker is Dark Attribute, so Mahad's ATK would jump to 5,000 upon entering battle with Accesscode Talker) to beat over Accesscode Talker's 5,600 ATK in battle (and even then, Accesscode could probably just get rid of Mahad with it's effect before Mahad could actually destroy Accesscode Talker). Yugi is so humble that taking a loss like that very likely wouldn't faze him at all. Would have been cool to see how Yugi's friends reacted to the duel and seeing Yugi actually get outplayed like that and losing by such a narrow margin. I could definitely see Joey being both shocked that Yugi lost and impressed by Yuma's deck and praising him for besting Yugi....and then Joey would probably challenge Yuma himself just for the thrill of facing someone who could legitimately compete with _Yugi_ of all people.

Not just the Rivals. The Best Friends, and Villains could be fun too. Villains in particular could be a *_BIG_* tournament with now many villains there actually are. Could probably even do a multi-part tournament for the villains, like a "Duel Monsters" Tournament with all of Yugi & Atem's villains, then a GX villain tournament, a 5Ds villain tournament, and so on, and then the winners of each of those tournaments (or the 8 Villains who performed the "best" overall) would go on to face the villains of the other seasons in an entirely separate tournament to determine which villain had the best deck of them all. I could even see an "Archetype" tournament working where you could take some of the most popular Archetypes (Despia, Bystial, Branded, Kashtira, Tearlaments, Diabellstar, Swordsoul, Blue-Eyes, Red-Eyes, Infernity, etc.) duking it out to see which came out on top....though this particular type of tournament could benefit from each archetype facing each other once each, and then which ever Archetype has the most total wins would be crowned "champion", and in the event of a tie, then there could be "tiebreaker" duels. This way Archetypes that happen to be unfairly one-sided won't result in an otherwise great Archetype just getting eliminated outright without getting to go up against the other archetypes.

@@LuisKiller73 True. Particularly since little Yugi technically has his own Archetype now via the "Gold Sarcophagus" archetype, it has most/all of little Yugi's signature cards (Silent Swordsman, Silent Magician, Gandora, etc.) as part of the same Archetype. ....Though that would admittedly require waiting for the Gold Sarcophagus archetype to come to Master Duel first. But that could be a good reason to revisit this particular Tournament at some point in the future and give the protagonists a chance to "redeem themselves", particularly if they performed poorly in this Tournament. Alternatively, if he could find someone else familiar with each of the Decks, he could instead run the duels with him playing one and another person playing the other so that the decks are played more "optimally" than the AI can play them, as I'd expect a human player to make smarter plays than an AI would. Another possibility could be a tournament to see if the main characters like Yugi, Atem, & Kaiba would be able to handle more modern Archetypes (like seeing if a "modern" Kaiba deck could handle a Fallen of Albaz focused deck, or if Albaz would just tear Kaiba apart).
@BlueSparxLPs8 ай бұрын
The only reason I don't like that idea is because it just becomes, "modernized archetype vs modernized archetype" and it loses the feel of being a character duel. I've never been able to enjoy any of the "character but with updated deck" duel videos uploaded by others because of that.

Astral senses an interesting type of danger while inside Yuma's key, appears, and helps Yuma pull off that protagonist win because he thought there might be a potential number or a potential danger if they lost to Yugi. Then he faces Playmaker who has absolutely no special power, just badass dueling skills, so Astral is like well if Yuma loses there's no harm, so I'll just let him duel by himself, and he just plays a single monster in defense mode and then gets destroyed on his opponent's first turn just as normal like so many times during the first season of Zexal against his classmates lol

@@dimitrijames00001His ability is just getting good cards that he reuses later, but I agree it should have been trash at least once.

@dudono1744 like even Yugi who has the hack of drawing the card thta keeps him in duels drew trash at times yet playmaker gets game winning monsters every time

i'd love to see this series as matches instead of single games, to give each deck a fair chance to showcase their actual power

Personally, id use the more modern decks. Because link summoning is fundamentally broken

Talk about Powercreep.

It would definitely be better to keep it within the eras. All this video proved is the Power Creep of Yu-gi-oh. XD

You should try again with the most modern deck. It would be cool to see like dark magician

Bro how is Jaden using his anime deck (pure) and Yusei gets Assault mode cards and lightning warrior from the manga?
@alanchamberlain99029 ай бұрын
Exactly the decks weren’t accurate at all

Yeah blade edge in the deck was crazy can’t believe he actually put that in there.

I know you probably haven’t seen casual cooper but it’s awesome that more people are doing AI duels, to me he’s the main guy doing them

astral deserve to be considered protagonist aside yuma , just like yugi / yami yugi

I think this would be cool with modern versions of there decks. Some of the duels were more unpredictable than i thought, but with newer cards it'll be much harder to predict
@waltdraper19 ай бұрын
I’d love a version of this with real duelists and where it allows for modernization! Like the older the deck, the more recent archetype cards they could add? Like 2 for the most recent series than another two for each working backwards and they could only use cards protags used and those grandfathered in new archetype cards

Given there was no tournament in VRAINS, Playmaker was overdue for this win
@ethanwahl-g9k9 ай бұрын
Interesting fact, I once thought up a yugioh crossover tournament that had the same semi-finals, just had Yusei defeat Yuya. Still had Playmaker win though.

Yusaku won but Yuma vs Yugi was the best duel

Now you should do the rivals: -Kaiba -Zane and Chazz -Jack -Kite and Shark -Idk for Arc V, probably Declan -Soulburner It would be interesting to see if the trend sticks, with the Arc-V and Vrains character's topping and the earlier ones getting knocked out round one. Or perhaps Kite/Jack could pull something?
@christopherb5016 ай бұрын
Did so.
@vgsounds236 ай бұрын
@@christopherb501 Yh, I found it interesting he didn't choose soulburner for vrains. I consider him much more of a rival to yusaku than revolver is. Revolver's more of an antihero imo.

I love VRAINS... although the outcome here wasn't all that surprising. It'd take some custom rules and some arbitration, but it might be cool to see them play builds with legacy support. There are some pretty strong cards (Assault Synchron, Honest Neos, etc.) that could buff the earlier protagonists without feeling too out-of-place.
