I’m a huge fan of what Akira the Don does, but I chuckled at the irony there...Watts is talking about how the best music has no “meaning”...and Akira literally calls his music “Meaningwave” 😂

I just recently started getting into vaporwave. At the same time I've been in the search for profound truth, which eventually led me to find out about this man- Alan Watts. One of the great thinkers of our time. I've been listening to his recorded seminars for months now and now I came across this...I swear, I feel like Im starting to have a conversation with the Universe. This is Gold!

One of my favorite nuances of these meaningwave mixes is the self shout outs. Good example of a clever one here at 19:16. Many artists do this in their mixes and I generally find it jarring or annoying. When I hear “Akira The Don!”, though, it is always done in a clever and unexpected way. Something about it makes me laugh. Thanks for putting these together.
