Great ride! Getting me pumped to head out once the snow is gone here in the Midwest in the US. Picking up a 1090 R next week...No Simpson here but the Rockies are calling my name! Thank you for posting, keep up the great work!!!

Another quality video, thanks for sharing! Basalt knob track is only sketchy for that 100m or so then its pretty boring after that to the red carriage at the crossroads. If you didn't know, etiquette on narrow high country tracks, bike or 4wd, is to let the lead vehicle know how many you've got behind you. They'll then let their tail end Charlie in the convoy know how many to expect before moving on. TEC may sometimes hand signal a zero to let you know that they're last. Safe travels mate!

Good video Nerb, but I was hoping for some 1190 carnage. Great trails in the high country hey, looks like you had some nice cool weather which was sadly lacking for a lot of the summer. Looking forward to riding with Cam again too, he looked at home on his 450L.

No... I wouldnt want to be around there at the moment. My family is in Labotuche and they left today, just hoping their house is there in the morning. Hope this cool change comes through tonight.

Thoughts and hopes are with your family mate We've lost family homes in Ash Wednesday and came close in the recent Christmas Day fires and St Patrick Day fires. It is the only thing that truly scares the shit out of me

I think the recent bushfires moved through that area and track didn't it? If so it would be a very different scenery now :(

Speaking of dots in your camera.... :-p That train carriage looked like one of Marshall's rape shacks. Bit breezy up there! A few of the blokes at the Strom meet were talking about going up there to do the Blue Rag track on the Sunday. I'm not sure if they did or not as I haven't seen any posts about it. It looks bloody awesome! There wouldn't have been any clouds on Sunday and definitely no rain. I think I need to visit this.

What track was that gnarly hill on? We’ve got a few options for routes either Dargo to Bright or Dargo to Woods Point. If it’s one of the tracks north of Talbotville, I might have to re-plan.
@Nerb15 жыл бұрын
It was Basalt South Track... but you can go up Brewery Creek Road to bypass it.

Yes... gum trees, grey gums, blue gums and red gums. I think there's some other types of gums too ;) But they all look the same! Haha

There are more than 700 types of eucalyptus trees in Australia...you need a pretty discerning eye to pick the difference between them. That said, they look a lot more different to the naked eye than the endless Birch trees I rode through in Russia, and also the pine trees in the Baltic States pretty much look the same to me too
