An Amazing Journey To Sinthan Top & Daksum: Offbeat Tourist Destination In Kashmir

Sinthan top is one of the places with a magnificent view of 360 degree mountain ranges in the horizon on the top of a broad mountain pass.
We went there on a fine morning of April 2022 from Kokernag and our journey through NH 244 was amazing. Meandering brook, whispering coniferous trees, clear blue sky and snow capped Pirpanjal ranges captured our hearts. The road is well maintained by Border Roads Organisation. Distance from Kokernag is 45 km approx. We didn't get any food or beverages in the whole journey except at Daksum. On our return journey we visited picturesque Daksum Park.

Kashmir tour itinerary as desired by you. Srinagar 4nights (2days srinagar, 1day Sonemarg, 1day Gulmarg) Next proceed towards Pahalgam. On the way you may visit Awantipora and Martand sun temple. 2 or 3 nights Pahalgam. From Pahalgam proceed to Kokernag.On the way visit Achabal Mughal Garden.(stay 2nights in Kokernag Botanical Garden JKTDC), VISIT Daksum from Kokernag, (no use going to Sinthan top in October as there will be no snow that time). On the way back from Kokernag come via Verinag and Aharbal. Thankyou

No. This place you can see from google maps, lies between Kishtwar and Anantnag in the Higher Himalaya of J&K. The two ways to reach this place thus are from, 1st is from Anantnag to SE and 2nd from Kishtwar to N-NW. Now coming to the cliffhanger section, that part of Himalaya also lies in Kishtwar but towards Himachal Himalaya, SE of Kishtwar while this place is NW of Kishtwar.

@@nawazshaikh510 Yes I did went... The roads are very good... Almost any car can go easily. Road from Ananthnag till Vailoo is not in good shape as road repair work is going on. Went last on 11th May 2022 and we were fortunate enough to witness good snow. You may still get snow if you visit in this week.
