Loving your plans and website review. When I came back to sewing 4 years ago I joined their “club” to get the 10% discount off all orders which is great. I did find the website clunky and fabric images and descriptions left a lot to be desired so I spent a fortune on samples. I gave up on Minerva after two dreadful customer service issues and will never go back. Maybe I was unlucky as I know others are happy with them. Your capsule wardrobe is going to be beautiful. I have a late holiday so finding it difficult to think of autumn makes. Can’t wait to see what you buy on Saturday 😅😅😅. Happy Sewing😊. Lynne

@@baxter3877 it’s nothing to do with liking. You need to go to your subscription list select Gemini Stitches and view my channel. Then where it says Subscribed there’s a little arrow click it and it will bring up your notification options. To get notified of all my clogs it needs setting to all. Hope this helps xxx

I agree that Minerva is very clunky to search through - but it does ship overseas for free if you spend a certain amount so I have persevered with them. But all the fabric I have purchased has been great quality and true to the image on the screen.

My favorite is the reviews you have done on your online suppliers of fabric. What a great idea, Christine! This is very helpful and motivating, let along informative for UK shoppers. I would so love a blogger to do this in the US! The fabrics you have chosen for you new makes are stunning.

Great fabrics. Have never bought from the other two but really pleased with my fabrix from fabworks. Wish i lived nearer to it. Bought some fabric from elsewhere and nothing like the image but will use it as a toile for something. Enjoy your holiday

I've bought from both Minerva and Fabworks (but not Higgs and Higgs). Love Fabworks fabrics - their wools and shirtings are excellent and great prices. Minerva is tricky to navigate just because of the sheer volume of stock. I tend to use the filters which are helpful in narrowing down by colour, fibre, brand etc. What I like about Minerva is seeing the fabrics made up as this gives a much better idea of drape, scale of print etc.

I live in France now so it's very difficult to buy from UK suppliers because the import duties etc are so high. I needed to buy two extra balls of wool to complete a knitting project (bought the wool for a sweater for my dad so he chose the wool on woolwarehouse and had it sent to him). The wool was £9.98, shipping was £4.99 (not cheap but I wanted to finish his sweater)....customs charges were over £8! I buy a lot from Dreissenstoffen now as the postage is reasonable and no customs!

I look forward to seeing more of your machine. Love your knitting, looks very complicated though. I've started the great Christmas knitting for grandchildren... Jumpers for all. I have started oldest to youngest so they get smaller. I'm looking forward to seeing your jeans as I'm also 5ft. Really like the top you're wearing. I have used Higgs and Higgs and The Dressmakers Fabrics. Have had no problems, love the fabric received, use them often. I only wish there were more fashionable fabric shops around.

So useful to review the different suppliers. I couldn’t agree more about Minerva, their website is dreadful to use. Its such a shame because they have started to do great videos showing fabric and patterns but they are so let down by their web site. Thanks again .

Great video Christine, can’t wait to see the Sezane makes and the boucle coats. Those neck lights are so good, wouldn’t be without mine. Good to hear your thoughts on the different websites, agree Minerva can be ‘clunky’ but I usually get lovely fabric and like to see the makes posted with fabrics and patterns, definitely helps me to decide! And a clearance sale !! …. Rude not to! 🤭❤

I will never buy from Minerva again, I have had so many bad experiences with them, including sending damaged sewing patterns to sending wrong fabric and refusing to send the correct one. Higgs and Higgs are great in my experience but I've never used the other supplier so cant comment on them. Enjoy your holiday. Xx
