Good video. I wish you a pleasant stay in Japan. By the way, the white shikishi hanging on the wall (5:57) are signed by famous individuals. These are pieces of paper where people write brief messages or draw small illustrations along with their autographs before giving them to someone. The restaurant displays these signed shikishi from notable visitors. Such restaurants are quite common in Japan, and some of these shikishi appear to be from players of the local professional soccer team.

Hello, welcome to Osaka bay area. If you’re visiting the local shrine, I recommend arriving by 3:45pm so you have time to explore the site.

Oh, congatulation for happy birthday Kyle. Are they your coworker? Do you like westan food? To be honest, I like Japanese food, because I'm japanese. Sorry.

@@Mwoods2272 Most people here speak to me in English first, which has been very helpful! It would be a little odd to respond to someone speaking in English … in Japanese, right? At the time of this video, I had only been living in the country for less than 2 weeks, and I was offered the opportunity to move here for a short contract just about a month prior to the start of the contract, so I definitely had not mastered the entire Japanese language in those six weeks. However, as I live and work here, I have continued to learn more and more phrases. I am able to speak more Japanese now than I did when I moved here! But I certainly have a ways to go. Thanks for watching my vlog!
