I think the term "patient" is more wide spreading than "loved one". Even if they are family they aren't necessarily a loved one. Just saying!

Older women may need Rx vaginal estrogen cream. It helps strengthen the genito-urinary tract aka bladder capacity, and reduce bladder prolapse (cystocele).

You should definitely not use the term "diaper". Not very appropriate for older adults. Try using incontinence pad or brief instead. Give them the dignity and respect they deserve.

Euphemisms go and reinforce this idea for diapers. Instead, we should actively strip the stigma from wearing diapers. That is what they are. But there's no shame in diapers. In fact, some people, like myself, think they are pretty cool!
