also R.I.P. Kazunari Tanaka! "Don't you dare look down! Volleyball, is a sport where you're always looking up!" 😭😭😭Can't believe those were the last voice acting words he left for us. Such a powerful moment!

Yamaguchi with a four point streak, Hinata's soft block, Ukai's scream, Tsukki's return. What an episode! Just constant heart jumps left and right with this game. Just two episodes left, of an entire season of just one game! It's hard to believe any other show could pull something like this off.

If anyone's asking why Shiratorizawa's coach wasn't able to play even just as a Libero in his backstory, well the Libero position was just recently added to the list of positions officially (in the '90s I assume, can't remember the specific year). So basically in his time, short guys stood no chance in playing a game because obviously, Volleyball is a sport where height comes first.
@thejadedjester49353 жыл бұрын
yeah, I like to think about how different his perspective could have been if Libero was a position at the time of his youth.
@kunterborn13 жыл бұрын
Yes, the libero was added in the late 90s, and wasn't introduced everywhere for a few years. It was a newly added position in my state's athletic association the last season I played in 2004.

Every time I hear the Coach Ukai line, I tear up. It's really inspiring, but it's also very true. You never know what's going to happen in a match, and part of not giving up on a match is remembering to look up and keep your eye on the ball. I love the way Tsukki hustles back in like a man with a purpose. Can't wait to see your reactions to the final episodes of this season!

For context, in sports (especially highschool sports) if there's any indication of injury at all you have to tap out. Since these are HS students, the rules are even more strictly implemented (like when Kageyama just had a nosebleed but could still play).

Coach Washijo's past was during the time when the position of Libero was not yet introduced! That was a major factor why he wasn't given opportunities! Also the last words of VA of Coach Ukai! RIP! Finally Tsukki is back! 🔥 Nice reaction guys! 👍👍

The way the couch dealt with being denied for being short is to deny other short players. I love how absolutely human this writing is. How so much of our motivation makes no sense and can last for decades.

I wanna start this comment with a RIP Tanaka Kazunari, he did an amazing job as Coach Ukai's voice actor, and I miss his voice in Haikyuu very much. I definitely got a surprise when I binged this season and found out that Coach Ukai's voice sounded different for some reason. Will come back to this later!! Edit: I like how you guys call Ushi, Wakatoshi(his first name), but you call Satori, Tendou(his last name). The flashbacks gave me goosebumps in this ngl. Shiratorizawa's coach is the typical example of someone who believes bigger is better just because of his own experience with being short and looked down upon in volleyball. Not everyone will mature like he did I assume, but it was unfortunate for him to be put aside in favour of taller players. The OSTs in this tho. Impeccable. I love Haikyuu OSTs to bits. I love that Ushi was so pissed whenever Hinata did something unconventional(like receive with his face HAHAHAH). Can I just say that I love this man's voice I get a damn heart attack whenever he talks? Yama with them serves tho, this boy has improved so much uwu Tsukki's BACK. Next episode gon be SO hype you don't even know. I'm sobbing because I don't want your Season 3 reactions to end :(( Oh but on the other hand I randomly decided to try and calculate how many more weeks there are to my fav scenes in Season 4 and I have decided not to mope too much. I'll do that after you guys finish Haikyuu and we all have to wait for Season 5 to come out😭 Great reaction, can't wait for more HxH tmr!!
