Late reply, but I’ll just answer your question. It is probably the warm lighting and what surrounds it, light always bounce on a surface or can be absorbed; in this case the warm tone of the wood and a white paint with warm tint, it really reflects the light and bounce around the room and that’s why it feels warm (or maybe it could be just the video filter 😂)

Beauty has brought me to tears on more than one occasion. When I watch videos about tiny houses, I often cry. Not so much from the beauty of the house, but because the owners have taken total control of their lives, pared down, and are happier than they've ever been. I'm saddled with 4,000 square feet of Queen Anne, and a yard that needs daily attention, and would love to sell it all and start again somewhere... A friend just up and moved out to the Northwest. Hoping that she'll be my inspiration.

This house is-- DIVINE! Spare without feeling sterile. The lighting is perfectly thought out. It must be a total experience to be there at night. Too bad it's only 3 feet from the neighbors, tho, and that the neighbors up the hill can watch you in your backyard. City living I guess. So many commissions focus on making a statement about the owner or his/her tastes. But, people change--and, what was once a certainty becomes stale and confining. Ms. Blanchfield helps me realize here that design's higher calling may be to help the owner humanely reconnect with what's timeless, and help de-emphasize ego without becoming completely anonymous or sterile.

This is the first house shown on this channel that resonates with me the most. They maximize the space of the house, there's a library, a lawn, a balcony, simple and not too much of a too much material and good plays of all the material. Things that are commonly used to build a house is found in the major view of the house like wood and things that are not common like you don't see grey concrete on the wall everywhere on the house like in some houses. This house has a bit of everything in the best way possible.
