Great video. The Fall Festival reminded me of playing Chubby Bunnies in my youth. Stuff a marshmallow one at a time into your mouth and then say, "Chubby Bunny". The trick is to pack them into the sides of your cheek. I think some of the guys packed 20 some into their mouth. Lots of laughs and good cheap fun if you pick up marshmallows from the Dollar store.

I used to have a 6 ft tall cedar fence. I used a hand pump garden sprayer when I needed to stain the fence. With the long spray wand it made for less bending. Plus it was quiet. Also if you didn’t want to go through all the cleaning the sprayers are inexpensive. And you can simply through it in the trash. I had used a sprayer like yours to paint the inside of a large home. Too much cleanup after so it never got used again.

We had the same argument when building our house…we also compromised 😂 And we’ve had to do upkeep after just a few years too unfortunately. Oklahoma weather does a doozy on the wood. We built the same year as y’all. We love the wood look just don’t enjoy the upkeep.

We had a brick home that was 110 Years old, when we moved for the most part the brick was still good except for 1 spot Some needed tuck pointing

I bricked mt house when I remodeled in 1981 but still have some painting around windows and around the eaves. Had to hire it done this year as the doctors said stay off the ladders. Never fails if there is a hole in the fence, they can get out but can't see an open gate!

My neighbors home is one of those kits, it’s all wood, not sure if it’s cedar though. But I think they do theirs once a year. they tape up all their windows the day before,and spray theirs.

There is a fiber cement siding that looks like wood that is super impressive and no maintenance. "Fiber cement siding is a durable, low-maintenance siding material that can last up to 50 years. It's resistant to rot, pests, and warping, and it can withstand moisture and damage from the elements. Fiber cement siding is also non-combustible and won't contribute fuel to a fire." The Souzas at Good simple living used it on their home in N Idaho. Very impressive

🤠My bad! I thought Ranger was going to be your help this year … he's tall enough for at least the fence, and athletic enough to have the coordination to use the spray painter. BTW, at 71 years old, I would choose the low maintenance route and save wood accents for gardens, etc. Remembering that stone and brick can use a power washing regularly, depending on climate.

I vote for the natural cedar….beautiful! You need to take care of it we didn’t stain ours, we pressure washed it and put preservative on it every year. Ours was beveled natural cedar (30 x 60 deck) we lived in the Pacific NW.❤

I'm looking at the stone and bricks below your windows you might not be aware but the mortar and the bricks breaks down it starts to absorb moisture so you need to seal those bricks under every one of those windows by the time you realize that you have a problem you also have major damage it's just a good practice to put a sealer every year or every other year you can get a liquid and spray on their
