Really enjoyed this video! The "answer" in AC4A is implied to be what's said in the video by marketing materials and the intro cinematic, but ultimately it refers to the player's choice in terms of which path they take in the branching storyline. What answer will you chose for humanity's future? Along with Aliyah, there's also a part set called Aretha, presumably named after another famous singer. Dreamcast: Check out Frame Gride! Another fun fact: the first appearance of Patches, a character found in Elden Ring, isn't in Dark Souls, or even Demon's Souls - but AC4A. Never heard the Wildcat theory, that's pretty rad.

While the timelines are technically separate, they can still neatly fit into each other: 1. Armored Core 4/4A - National Dismantlement War and Kojima Pollution (then combining the three endings) leading to humanity building the underground cities. 2. Armored Core - setting is entirely within the underground cities, with Nineball and the AI in control created by the corporations integrating with the mass-murderer ending in AC4A in order to control him and make the ultimate weapon. 3. AC3 - Humanity Emerges from the Underground and attempts to re-start society under the dominion of the Corporations; it fails for the second time as the AI/9-ball emerges from the Silent Line and destroy the world again; this time really putting humanity back 4. ACV/VD - ACs are downsized and made from scrapped remnants of the older AC designs; humanity survives under totalitarianism and constant warfare. AC4, AC1, and AC3 Ruins and referenced in this game, and the final boss can be considered a continuation of the 9-Ball/NEXT weapon from the “old age”. Confirms AC4 as canon to this storyline with Cradles and Motherwill ruins. About 400-600 years have passed since the old Nations were dismantled. 5. AC2 - Due to AC4 ending where the anti-satellite array was destroyed, space travel now becomes possible. Nineball/AI is finally destroyed, and humanity can expand into space once and for all, at the very least securing resources for future generations Honorable Mention: Ninebreaker/Formula Front - after the AI is destroyed, a period of peace and interstellar expansion follows, and Armored Cores are now relegated to bloodsport and corporate sponsorship of tech and arms industries. Nineball’s killer is forever venerated as “Ninebreaker” and competitions emerge on who can become the new one by defeating the old one. 6. AC6 - the Timeline of AC6 can be established via the planetary registry number of Rubicon 3 - the number being the year it was surveyed (I don’t remember if it was a 2300 number or a 2600 number, but it gives us a frame of reference for how far in the future we are. It shows it in the intro scene). Humanity has spread across the stars and have managed to recover all the technology lost since the LYNX war polluted Earth, including perfecting pulse-wave technology. Humanity is as far as Jupiter in the home system, and Rubicon (wherever that is). Corporations still have vast holdings, but it is implied by the existence of the PCA of an even more massive and far-reaching bureaucracy that overshadows even the corporations. Whether this is another corporate alliance deal or a separate authority entirely is left to speculation, but what is clear is that they are not necessarily in the control of each other, and must rely on another AI (ALLMIND) in order to maintain a status quo. One more possible add to the iceberg: one of the armored core gens (2 or 3) is actually set on Rubicon 3, and is set before the Fires of Ibis.

About "the answer": in the games you are presented with a world much like ours, where corporations tower over governments and destroy nature and society in chasing capital (as is the nature of corporations and capitalism, obviously); you then have the option to choose to side with said corporations, to live by yourself ignoring everything around you or to try and fight against this oppression alongside others; the question is "what will you do about this whole situation?"; "the answer" is precisely the answer you will give to the question as a player and, most importantly, as a person In a world where corporations are dismantling nature and society, will you stand idly, or will you organize with your peers and fight? Most of us are standing idly and there isn't much time left..

AC4A somehow predicted a comic artist existing with dan mora. its a character ingame who likes comic books and their emblem looks like superman and the real life dan mora is a comic artist for batman and superman stuff but he didn't gain popular noteriety until a while after armored core 4A

@@ANewWincon Well to point out a couple of places in case you make a part 2: Armored Core: Tower City Blade - manga (can be found online and is translated) Armored Core Brave New World - light novel (harder to find but it recently got dumped online, however still no translation) Armored Core Fort Tower Song - animated OVA/novel - cancelled by FromSoft in 2011 after the published dropped from the project (shame too, apparently it took place around the time of Last Raven)
