As a kid I would always come home from school and watch Spongebob, I’d take some scrap paper and try to draw him from what I saw on tv. I watched it so much I still know most of the episodes by heart. I ended up buying tons of Spongebob plushies, comics, posters, etc... I think it made me a more creative human being and I wanna thank Stephen Hillenburg and Spongebob for that. My doodles that I draw today are still strongly inspired by Spongebob and I often hide a Spongebob reference in my drawings, as a ‘small tribute’ or ‘easter egg’ in my drawings. Today I decided to make a fully Spongebob themed drawing, to honor the legacy of Stephen Hillenburg. Rest in Peace & Thank You ❤️

Why can’t people appreciate people before they die. Like with Stan Lee and Stephen Hillenburg. The tributes came only after their deaths so they never got to see them. They don’t get to know how much people appreciate them. If I were actually good at art, I would start making tributes to people who are still alive as well as the ones who passed so that the people who are alive get to witness how much they are appreciated. R.I.P. Stephen Hillenburg, you were my whole childhood.
