Yes Fizz, I see where you're coming from and I'm not going to pretend to know what the fancy art terms mean :'D but I think the hand makes the piece and a grey scale would not have had the same effect as a fully colored and detailed hand. I guess it's more of opinion and personal preference.

Fizz I’m with you. Funny, one of the first things I thought when watching this was something along the lines of “this guy is so good, but why does everything have to be SO saturated?” The hand is a little more desaturated than the rest, but it’s just not enough. Grayscale would have been the perfect fix. BUT - I’m not here just to be critical. I thoroughly enjoy his content. He definitely does plenty of things far better me!

some suggestions : you notice how the paint turned out really thin? you should put more than one layer for the colours to stand out more and it won't leave brush strokes on the thicker layers. it's also ok if you squint paint on the palate because arcquilic can be easily to peel off (it's really fun) anyways, great job considering this is your second time!

Constructive criticism is what helps people improve, artist or not. Considering that it's his second time painting it's amazing, but there always is room for improvement. Art is NOT based on skills and style, it's about creating things and enjoying the process! While watching the video I also noticed the thin paint but no one was saying that the outcome looks ugly or bad, they just gave a tip so he could improve his painting skills. No one gets it on a first try, no need to be embarrassed about it, as long as you keep trying and improving :)

This is really good, although I do have a few things to point out. 1. When you're doing the painting, it is usually easier to do all or most of the parts with the same color at the same time. That way, you can save time with switching between using different colors more easily. 2. try to make sure you are using bright and/or eye catching colors in places that you want people to focus on. You used a lot of bright yellow in a lot of different places, and I was being destracted from the point of focus (the hand in the middle). I can understand that it can be hard to tone down yellow and still make it look good, and that using bright or very saturated colors on a realistic-looking picture sometimes makes it look sort of weird, but it is possible to do both of these things, or, at least, to find a different way around this problem. These are really just some minor problems I had with this piece, but if you could work on trying to fix these, you might end up saving some time and/or making your paintings or illustrations look a bit better. -Neko
