I admire and envy your life in such a positive way! I’m a single mother of two my dynamic is vastly different to yours - but this doesn’t mean you should ever excuse yourself or feel you need to apologise because you are comfortable and enjoy what others cannot. You’ve worked hard for what you have and it hasn’t been without your own trials and tribulations, don’t apologise for living your best life. I can only dream to have what you have, but it doesn’t make me sour or envious, it means I enjoy watching you in admiration 🫶🏽

I appreciate so much you taking time to stop and explain. Even though I think you don’t have to explain yourself, I also think that by doing so you make some people out there realise that living a good (and yes, privileged) life doesn’t mean you’re ignorant egoist who doesn’t care. You worked for what you have and you have a full right to enjoy it. You have also worked hard on becoming who you are, on appreciating all the things in life and not letting this sick world change you into capitalistic monster. I don't think enjoying grocery shopping is strictly an upper class thing. I live paycheck to paycheck currently and I also love grocery shopping. It gives me so much joy and gratitude to just be able to afford basic staples like bread, milk, butter etc. I love looking at the shelves and the seasonal offerings. On the weekends, being able to afford a $7 bottle of wine or block of cheese feels like such a lovely small luxury. So I don't think you need to be well off to enjoy doing a food shop! It's a very normal thing! Wine recommendations: Not sure how much access you have to California wines in the UK but I would suggest a Cabernet from Paso Robles or Pinot Noir from Santa Maria Valley. My favorites for the Holidays are Justin Cabernet and Melville Pinot Noir!

Waitrose and M&S is definitely a little pocket of joy, I get it. When you've worked hard for your money you can't feel guilty or make excuses for then living your best life as a consequence. Otherwise what would you be showing on your channel! I'm retired now and am living better than when I slogged away at my job (which I enjoyed, the people not so much), I shop at M+S, Waitrose and the budget shops. Clothes I'm not bothered about so much, but I've pared everything down to the items that I actually like and suit me and therefore will wear. Some savage decluttering helps concentrate the mind and showcases what is and isn't needed. And I don't feel bad about it at all. Everything was hard in the earl years and there was a lack of things other's enjoyed, so its my time now and I love, I also acknowledge gratitude at having what I have now.
