Got the same bike in L. Changed to shorter GRX cranks as the 175mm give me knee pain. Other than that, it is an absolute joy to ride and as the video shows, a great looking bike.

You might need an aftermarket seatpost to get the right saddle height.

Great review. The play in rear hub probably can be fixed with adjustment Slipping of drivetrain is not normal and i think a warranty claim. You are like me - i cant stand creaks, rattles or squeaks of any kind. I am also hard on rear hubs and broken my share of cheap freehubs. Maybe worth getting some frame protection clear wrap for areas that get beat up by rocks and grit.

@@aberoy5901 the play in hub and slipping probably related problem. Get it checked out before you hurt yourself (sudden disengagement of chain tension or you wreck your drivetrain like chain in frame or bent RD

I have the same bike and I really want to swap out the cranks to shimano grx 810 and therefore also have to swap out the bottom bracket. Do you think it's doable at home? I have the right tools for the job at home, for what it's worth.

I also have the exact same bike and been having issues. FD is working but wouldn't shift to the big chainring. Anyone experience this?

Sounds like your bike shop didn’t do a very good job putting your bike together! That’s a lot of tightening and creaking, no?
@aberoy5901
@aberoy5901 11 ай бұрын
I think they did okay. The seatpost creak came from me adjusting the height. The cranks began to creak after a couple hundred miles of riding. All was easily creaking solved.

ok, but how does it ride?
@aberoy5901

Not as snappy as a pure road race bike but not as lazy as a bike packing gravel bike. It is a good all-rounder. Also, with 40-32c tires it smooths out rough roads.

I've heard this model has a seatpost crack issue. It may only be the paint cracking though. Have you seen this on your bike yet?
@aberoy5901
@aberoy5901 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I have heard of this. I have noticed a crack in the paint at the rear of the seat tube area. It is not a crack in the actual frame. I was worried when I was having some creaking in the seat post area, but it was only because the seat post clamp was not tight enough. I was originally afraid to tighten the seat post clamp bolt too much.
@IsaCanUgur
@IsaCanUgur Жыл бұрын
Seatpost clamp is the main reason. 30.9 mm seatpost can fix the issue and you don't need seatpost clamp anymore. I changed mine and everything is perfect.

True, the revolt is a unique frame as well, the low standover heights allow people to be able to ride different sizes, just a matter of reach, I am roughly 5' 10" and found the Medium the best fit, but could have made a M/L work, just felt a bit stretched.@@aberoy5901

I just picked up an L, and I'm 6'2" with long inseam. Probably should have got the XL for the inseam, but need a shorter reach. I find im always on the cusp of the 2 sizes at my height. Your bike looks green in the video! Mine looks purple in the sunlight, such cool paint!

I see online that this bike is recommended for riders 6’2” to 6’7”. My inseam is 36 so it sounds like this bike would require a longer seatpost, if you’re maxed out with a 34” inch inseam. Thanks for this insight.
