Thank you for sharing on Leftovers. We try to avoid refrigerating food as much as possible, however sometimes we have to as you mentioned we donot live in the ideal world. There are some days/festivals/yoga of planetary positions in Hinduism: Nag Panchami or 6th or 7th day of Krushna paksha of Shravan month. Per traditions, we were told not to cook food instead prepare food a day before to avoid using stove/gas or to avoid cooking entirely. Can you please shade a light on the spiritual/scientific significance of those days?

Thank you for discussing this important concern. Lately I have been much better about preparing my lunches. I put my kitchari or soup in a thermos and take it to work. The hard part is getting up earlier in the morning to do the cooking so I can put the soup fresh in the thermos. I do as much prep as possible the night before - soaking, cutting, and prepping the spices.

TY, Dr. Svoboda. A topic that has been on my mind recently. One thing that I have been doing to offset some of the tamas that may accumulate within my leftovers, would be say reheating my kichuri and folding in fresh greens, kale, cilantro, etc. into the dish. Would this be a benefical way in adding prana back into the food?

there is a general prohibition in the texts for mixing fresh and less-fresh food, and I think that probably applies here as well - personally I would favor more consuming the fresh greens separately and not just re-heating but bringing the khichadi to a boil for a bit

Hello sir, I have few questions on spirituality,if you can throw some light on them. 1. What is the use of seed mantras and how they can be chanted?? 2. I have heard one scholar saying "purifying of mantra" now,how to purify a mantra?? 3. What is mantra siddhi? Hope to have a reply from you. Thanking you.please sir throw some light. Sometimes i feel, my human life is completely waste as i have not met any siddha guru who can guide me rightly on spiritual progress. I am locked in dark room and everytime i knock at the walls only, rather a door. Please sir, want to experience spiritual pleasure. Mantra chanting, dhyaan etc...please answer if you wish.
