An easy and fast way to change a spencer log tape filler

Dan has become my go-to guy for anything logging related. Why? He doesn't waste time posing and horsin' around, is very well spoken, and critically--he takes the time to explain very clearly not just how to do something, but why you do that something. I'm an old guy, have made stumps here and there over my life time, but didn't understand a lot--and, after learning from Dan, I'm amazed I didn't injure or kill myself doing some of the things I'm happy to say I don't ever do anymore. Now, with some serious logging comin' up, and a new pro-saw and other accessories, I'm a lot safer and more productive thanks to Dan.

Put the tape refill in your shirt pocket and let it feed out of that. It won't come unwound and make a mess. Also, I always have two tapes on me. If one breaks, just keep going.
