An Easy Ohio Star Block

Join us on the journey in creating a children's quilt made from a wide variety of star blocks. 'One of' Jeanette's favourite star blocks - the Ohio star, made from Moda's Soiree Fabric Range.
All you need for this block is...
Fabric:
1 x 2.5" Square of patterned fabric
4 x 2.5" Square of background fabric (e.g white)
2 x 3.25" Square of patterned fabric
2 x 3.25" Square of lighter fabric (e.g 1x patterned light, 1 x plain light)

I don’t feel like she was talking too fast. I get bored if someone is very slow talking and talking too much. I get bored and distracted when the videos are too long. I think she did an excellent job! Thank you!

I listened intently keeping the comment of fernenewell in mind and at no time did I find that Jeanette spoke too fast. In my opinion, Jeanette enunciates well and her videos are clear and easy to understand.

I found the speed appropriate for the tutorial also, but fernenewell obviously did not. There is no right or wrong here.

People have different experiences and needs and no one single speed is right or wrong for a tutorial. Some prefer fast talking, some prefer slow. That's okay.

I love it when you can cut your fabric larger then trim down. It usually isn’t that much waste and your block is perfect. I had to make a block like this and the cutting and sewing directions where different. I remembered seeing someone make the block like you. Definitely easier! Thank you for the great tutorial!
